Twisted Sprout is a Main Character Twisted found in Dandy's World. Upon 100% completion of his Research, you will achieve the Savory Charm Trinket.

Appearance

Twisted Sprout has an appearance similar to his Toon counterpart, but noticeably taller and almost completely consumed by Ichor. His legs, mouth, and left arm are covered in Ichor. His left arm is much larger than the other and has what is presumed to be large claws made of Ichor. Additionally, his leaves are noticeably longer, pointier, and darker than his Toon counterpart's leaves, and covering one of his eyes. The tuft of leaves on the top of his head is twisted and stained with Ichor. His scarf, which is still white with thin pink stripes, but is longer, and has a pointy, Ichor-covered end. His visible eye is red with a small pupil, like all Twisteds, and appears to be crying Ichor.

Abilities

When Twisted Sprout spots a Toon, he will pause his movement, summoning a puddle of Ichor at that Toon's position containing a tendril that, shortly after being summoned, will attack anyone who comes too close to it. This ability has a cooldown of 10 seconds, and the tendril disappears after 15 seconds. The tendril is surrounded by a pool of Ichor that shows its range. Due to the cooldown, there is no limitation on how many tendrils can spawn.

Strategies

As this Twisted is capable of summoning immovable tendrils, vacate any machines before you are in his detection range, to have less time of waiting to be completed. When you are planning to distract him, do not do it in areas where space is low and cannot spare escape routes (Duplicated versions of him should increase the risk if they do not attack at the same time). While distracting him in open areas, you may hug one side of either the island or outer walls so that when tendrils are summoned, you have more space to avoid them (Unless other aggressive Twisteds are chasing you). If done quickly and across the edges, it is possible to run through his tendrils without taking damage.

His short cooldown and tendrils should be noted for slower or low-Stamina Toons, as running or high-speed is the way to escape him while he finishes attacking, so preserve some Stamina for it.

Since his abilities are physical, try to keep him away from Twisted Razzle & Dazzle so their attack radiuses don't intersect, as this could cause problems. Similarly to them, his tendril attacks can be avoided even if you step into the attack range circle if you're quick at leaving it.

Unlike the other Main Character Twisteds who have almost the same or higher walkspeed as/than regular Twisteds, Twisted Sprout is the slowest Main Character Twisted, meaning that it's possible for 4 speed like Distractors or even a (Less than full health) Looey to outrun him easily without the use of speed Trinkets. Do note that Panic Mode significantly increases the speed of Twisteds, letting him catch up to you easier.

During Blackouts, his ability will be more dangerous due to the dark color of his tendrils. Make sure to watch where you're going and keep your camera angle pointed ahead. Be ready to sprint off at a moment's notice- there's no easy way to tell if he's the one chasing you until it's too late. Turning down your game graphics can help visibility in blackouts.

Trivia

• Twisted Sprout is the third ever ranged Twisted, with the first and second respectively being Twisted Scraps and Twisted Goob. Though, Twisted Gigi does not count, due to her not being able to damage you with her ranged attack if you have any items in your inventory.
  • Twisted Sprout is also the first and only ranged Main Character Twisted.
  • Twisted Sprout is the first Twisted to have an ability that summons a trap. The second being Twisted Bassie.
• He and Twisted Cosmo have matching Ichor patterns, as confirmed on the Discord by Qwelver.
  • Twisted Cosmo has Ichor on his right eye and arm, and Twisted Sprout has Ichor on his left eye and arm.
• Twisted Sprout screeches when spotting the player and also occasionally emits low rumbles.
• Twisted Sprout is the tallest Main Character Twisted in the game, ( Twisted Astro does not count because of his hat,) the second being Twisted Bobette.
• The sounds used for Twisted Sprout's idling growl originates from Half Life 2's Poison Zombie, being its breathing sound. Twisted Sprout's loud screeches are from Left 4 Dead's Hunter special infected, being its "warn" sound.
• He is the third Twisted to have two attacks that can damage Toons.
  • Due to having ranged attacks, Twisted Scraps and Twisted Goob also have two attacks, being the first and second Twisteds to do so.
• He is the second Twisted to have a possible area to damage Toons, with the first one being Twisted Razzle & Dazzle.
• If a Toon is in the radius of Sprout's ranged attack for long enough (using Savory Charm or multiple Health Kits), they will be teleported to a random area nearby.
• He is the first Twisted to appear on the Daily Twisted Board thrice in a row, being replaced by Twisted Flutter on the third time he was on the Daily Twisted Board.
• Like Twisted Razzle & Dazzle, his physical attacks are capable of spawning in the Elevator. However, these will not harm one in the safe zone.
• He has the shortest attack cooldown, like the other Main Character Twisteds. The cooldown is only one second, different than the usual three seconds.
• The spot of Ichor covering Twisted Sprout's eye is in the same spot as the caramel on his Toon counterpart's Salted Caramel skin. Though, it is currently unknown whether or not this was intentional.
• Twisted Sprout is the slowest Main Character Twisted despite his Toon counterpart being the 3rd fastest Main Character (2nd of the permanent main characters).
