| “ | One of the Main Characters of Dandy's World. The blatant ignorance of her existence by everyone around her has enraged her. Her presence makes every Toon extract slower, and she uses her form to her advantage in terms of speed. | ” |

Twisted Shelly is one of the 40 Twisteds in Dandy's World. She was introduced on July 12, 2024, alongside
Twisted Flutter,
Twisted Teagan and
Twisted Tisha. She is one of the 8 Main Character Twisteds and can spawn on Floor 5 above.
Upon 100% completion of her Research, you will acquire the
Participation Award Trinket.
Appearance
Twisted Shelly has red sclera with black irises and red pupils with two eyelashes on the bottom of her eyes. Her head resembles a beige Ammonite Shell with a black aperture on her left side, which has Ichor dripping out of it. She has smudged peach blush covered by Ichor splotches. Ichor covers her shoulders and flows halfway down her arms. Her outfit consists of a light brown undershirt with a dark brown dress over it; Ichor covers the bottom of her dress along with a few extra splotches. Below her dress is her torso, composed of an exposed rib cage which looks to be that of a dinosaur's, with the tips of each rib sharpened and stained with Ichor. Twisted Shelly has a pointy bone tail protruding out of her lower body, which is covered in Ichor structured like that of theropod dinosaur. She is on the larger and taller side when compared to other Twisteds, and she gets visually slightly more excited when chasing a Toon (Similar to
Twisted Boxten and
Twisted Dandy).
Strategies
Twisted Shelly has a high chase speed (20) along with an above average attention span, which is the same as
Twisted Shrimpo's. She also applies the
Confused I Debuff to all players on a given Floor, giving them all -25% extraction speed. While this may not greatly affect Toons with better Extraction Speed or high Skill Check stats, progression is important and it can be annoying when Distractors have to perform their role for slightly longer—especially when handling not only Shelly but more problematic Main Character Twisteds, such as
Twisted Vee,
Twisted Pebble,
Twisted Sprout, and
Twisted Astro, who inflicts
Tired III to reduce stamina regeneration. Shelly can become more intense to distract if with long-ranged Twisteds such as,
Twisted Goob,
Twisted Scraps, and
Twisted Gigi (If you have valuable items), as keeping track of the long range attack cooldown but also the speed of Twisted Shelly is incredibly difficult and you will get hit if you aren't careful. If you can't focus on both her speed and the ranged attack, then you can get hit and escape(though this isn't the best method),which,in summary, makes Twisted Shelly extremely problematic, although a fast Toon like
Pebble shouldn't have a problem, being able to out-walk her;but they'll have to distract for a longer time, either way. Extracting Trinkets can help combat the debuff she gives, the most notable being
Vee's Remote and
Wrench. However, Golden Skill Checks are unaffected by the Confused I debuff and continue to add more completion, reducing total extraction time. Toons with notably high Skill Check Stats include
Gigi,
Tisha, and her
Toon Counterpart (do note that this is not the whole list of high Skill Check extractors)—can effectively utilize the
Magnifying Glass Trinket for faster Extraction.
If you're planning to distract her, using speed Trinkets such as
Dog Plush and
Speedy Shoes is your best option. Distracting her as a 4
Movement Speed Toon using these Trinkets makes you only slightly faster than her, so remember to occasionally sprint on turns and in small areas. Unlike
Twisted Toodles, Twisted Shelly's hitbox is larger making her harder to distract than Twisted Toodles. Since her attention span is slightly higher than average, you can also loop her around an island if needed and not worry about losing aggro as easily as Toodles.
Blushy Bat and
Soul Sword are quite good Trinkets, as her speed can be knocked down a bit and/or stop moving, making escapes a bit easier.

Trivia
- Twisted Shelly's Debuff reducing Extraction Speed reflects how her
Toon counterpart's
Inspiration Ability increases Extraction Speed.
- Her fast chase speed could also be a poke at her Passive, and how it allows her to increase her Movement Speed when a Machine is finished.
- Similar to how Shelly likes extinct dinosaurs, Twisted Shelly's body is shaped and has posture much like the theropods, which were the bipedal carnivorous dinosaurs and the group that contains the birds of the modern era.
- Qwelver stated in a QNA that Twisted Shelly was originally supposed to depict an Allosaurus, but her size was too small to be one. Due to this, it's been said by Qwel that she's most likely a mixture of fossils. She also said that Shelly would've had feathers if she were depicting a Velociraptor or any other raptor within the Dromaeosauridae family.
- Prior to v0.3.0, her debuff was
Confused II(-50% Extraction Speed) instead of
Confused I(-25% Extraction Speed).- She, along with
Twisted Vee, were the only ways to get the II version of a debuff. - Having Twisted Shelly on your floor used to be the only way to obtain the (I) variant of any debuff, however Soul Sword applies Slow I to Twisteds.
- She is, however, the only Twisted to apply a debuff for the entire duration of the floor for every Toon.
- She, along with
- She is the only occasion where Confusion below III was ever used (
Twisted Rodger when opening his fake capsule and
Glisten's ability upon himself gives Confusion III) for both I and II.
- This was so far the only way to get a legitimate debuff of potency I, until
Soul Sword was added, giving
Slow I.
- This was so far the only way to get a legitimate debuff of potency I, until
- Twisted Shelly has a shorter attack cooldown, this being 1 second. This is a shared characteristic between every Main Character Twisted except the Event Main Twisteds.
- Twisted Shelly is the 5th fastest twisted in the game. She shares her spot with
Twisted Toodles.
- During Panic Mode, she becomes as fast as
Twisted Pebble. This also applies with other Twisteds with 20 run speed units.
- During Panic Mode, she becomes as fast as
- The Confused I Debuff from Twisted Shelly sometimes disappears for a split second before reappearing.
- This disappearance usually happens consistently every 10 seconds, which implies that Twisted Shelly's presence itself does not make the debuff permanent to that Floor, but rather that she applies this debuff for 10 seconds, and then re-applies it again consistently until the end of said Floor, sometimes even lasting for a while after everyone enters the elevator after Panic Mode to further this implication. The reason for this is currently unknown, but it could simply be a glitch.
- Another theory is that due to Shelly's unpopularity among the Toons, the Toons are confused at what they're looking at, like they do not know who Twisted Shelly is, and therefore gets the Confused I Debuff.
