Twisted Pebble is one of the 40 Twisteds in Dandy's World. He was introduced on June 14, 2024. He is one of the 8 Main Character Twisteds and can spawn on Floor 5 above.
Upon 100% completion of his Research, you will acquire the
Bone Trinket.
Appearance
Twisted Pebble is certainly the most different from his
Toon counterpart than any Twisted. He has a pair of cylindrical Ichor legs with light gray feet. On each foot, he has three sharpened dark grey claws. His torso is slightly spherical but has visible sides, his tail is connected with what looks like a long black line of Ichor just like his legs. His head is connected with another slightly thicker line of Ichor. His head has two jagged rock “ears”, which are his legs from his toon form being the lightest shade of grey on him. His mouth is similar to a real dog's except it is fully filled with sharp canine teeth, however, he keeps the same white clover-like marks on his cheeks like his Counterpart (referencing to
Dandy). Twisted Pebble's eyes are similar to his Counterpart's eyes being circular; however, his eyes now have red sclerae, black irises, and red pupils in the middle.
Description
Twisted Pebble is a massive, roaming dog-like monster that stomps and wanders around the halls aimlessly. His unique ability allows him to detect Toons from far away if line of sight is triggered. Be sure to break line of sight as soon as getting spotted, as he will quickly catch up, even from a great distance. Because of his extremely fast speed, it is very hard to get away from him if he spots you in bad terrain or gets close and you have average mobility. Because of his many high stats, Twisted Pebble is extremely dangerous and should be avoided if possible.
Twisted Pebble produces muffled, yet pounding footsteps when roaming and feral noises when chasing, and since the footsteps are hard to detect, it can be a big surprise when he comes up on a floor that you think is safer.
Strategies
Due to his extreme speed, Twisted Pebble (with two build exceptions) is impossible to outwalk and hard to outrun (especially Toons with below-average mobility), while also being the most dangerous Twisted in-game.
Looey on 1
or
Eclipse in a Blackout with
Dog Plush &
Ribbon Spool or
Clown Horn gives a walk speed multiplier of 69.4%, resulting a walk speed of 25.41, making them the only Toons who can outwalk Twisted Pebble outside of Panic Mode, but only slightly. 3
Movement Speed Toons run exactly as fast as him, while 2 Star and 1 Star Movement Speed Toons aren't capable of out-speeding him while running (3 Star Movement Speed Toons run at 25, 2 Stars run at 22.5, and 1 Star Movement Speed Toons run at 20, while Twisted Pebble runs at 25), especially
Connie,
Razzle & Dazzle (On Even-numbered floors),
Shrimpo and
Soulvester, so escaping Items and Speed Trinkets are paramount to survival while he's on a Floor. Make sharp movements around corners to slow him down and cling tightly to walls, keeping an eye out for outcroppings you might get stuck on. Since he is quite large, small islands are rough to kite him around and should be avoided if you don't have much distance on him.
Twisted Pebble will only bark continuously while chasing Toons. Hence, if you hear his footsteps speed up but no loud barking, he is heading towards a failed Machine and not a Toon, and you shouldn't rush in.
Pebble's footsteps might be quiet and unnoticeable at first, so make sure to listen for barks or growling, especially in Blackouts.
Since Twisted Pebble is capable of detecting Toons at great distances, hide from him if he has line of sight or there isn't much cover nearby. Try to stay away from long corridors and open spaces, as disruptions to his line of sight are important to keeping him off of you. As mentioned above, Slower Toons should not dare get chased, easily being outran or being barely faster. Stay behind cover if he's fairly close and maintain knowledge on his location to prevent deaths.
Vee and
Brightney's abilities can be a great help to locate him.
If expecting to distract Twisted Pebble, you'll certainly need speed trinkets, Speedy Shoes or Dog Plush are the most used ones. Having
Astro or
Tisha on your team is extremely helpful, as this can help with gaining or conserving Stamina. The best Strategy for distracting Twisted Pebble is finding an island located on a Floor that you will be able to go around when baiting him. Hugging tightly to the island will slow down Twisted Pebble and make it significantly easier to Distract him. If you are unable to find an island to go around, trying running/walking in a straight line without turning or pressing other movement keys since Twisted Pebble will take slightly longer to hit you meaning you will be able to regain Stamina. Keep in mind that whenever Twisted Pebble loses line of sight of you when you are going around the island, he can aggro onto somebody else if he sees them, so try to find a safe area where other Toons will not be seen as much, such as the broken elevator area or communicate your plans ahead of time. If other dangerous Twisteds are on the Floor, consider having other Distractors help, or if none are available at the moment, you will have to just take the lesser threats and let Twisted Pebble roam around, moving or dodging when he gets nearby. If using a 4 Star Movement Speed Toon, you are able to kite Twisted Pebble, though ONLY him, as other Twisteds would turn the other way and possibly get you hit.
In Panic Mode, he will be much faster than any other Toons, even outrunning his
Toon counterpart,
Bassie,
Razzle & Dazzle (on odd floors), and even Looey (at 2 Hearts). The only way you would be able to outrun him during Panic Mode is assuming you are playing as Looey at 1 Heart, or a 5 Star Movement Speed Toon with at least Speedy Shoes. Otherwise, running away is useless. It is advisable to get to the elevator before Panic Mode begins. If you are unfortunately seen, either get in the Elevator as fast as possible (if no one else is outside), lose sight of him or just hope that he is far enough from you to not get hit. Distracting
Twisted Vee at the same time is a huge disadvantage to speed, as her
Slow II Debuff will help Twisted Pebble reach you easier. Though this can be deflected with Tisha's pulse on Pebble, Twisted Vee uses her Debuff periodically, which is much shorter than Tisha's cooldown.
Vanity Mirror can be a good assistant in this Panic Mode, with 5% remaining in support instead on the run speed and keeping distance from Twisted Pebble still. Do note this Trinket may not be a viable choice and is only in use if this is activated.
Train Whistle is the best option for this, as you cannot get slowed and still be able to outrun Pebble.
Fortunately, despite being a Main Character Twisted, he lacks any special mechanic that actually hinders you, so avoidance will make his presence on a floor easier.

Trivia
- Up until v0.11.1, Twisted Pebble was formerly the fastest Twisted in-game, before being replaced by
Twisted Dyle.
- However, Twisted Dyle's varies, so Pebble still had the fastest consistent speed.
- Twisted Pebble is not out-walkable by almost every Toon, except
Looey with
Dog Plush and
Clown Horn/
Ribbon Spool (or
Lucky Coin with the Movement Speed buff) - Twisted Pebble was outranked again by
Twisted Gourdy, being the third fastest, but because he is limited, he is still the fastest base-game Twisted with consistent speed.
- Twisted Pebble's ability to detect Toons from large distances is reminiscent of his
Toon counterpart's
Speak! ability, which lets him alert Twisteds to his location and drastically reduces his stealth. - Twisted Pebble is the first Twisted Main Character to not inflict Debuffs on Toons, the second being
Twisted Sprout, the third being
Twisted Bobette and the fourth being Twisted Gourdy. - Twisted Pebble is the first Main Character Twisted to appear on the Daily Twisted Board.
- Twisted Pebble was the first Main Character Twisted to appear on a thumbnail.
- Twisted Pebble was the first Main Character Twisted to have animations update in version 0.7.1 after his first release. His non-twisted counterpart, Pebble, received new animations as well.
- His footsteps were adjusted to match his new animations in the same update.
- Prior to the footstep sound effects matching his new animations, players were confused on if Twisted Pebble's Movement Speed was nerfed slightly. However, this was due to the sound effects and new animations not matching correctly, and his Movement Speed remained the same.
- Another reason why many players thought Twisted Pebble was nerfed is because of the remodel's hitbox change. When distracting Twisted Pebble around an object, his hitbox is now affected by it differently, making him seem slower when in reality he isn't.
- Twisted Pebble is one of the few Twisteds to show no marks of Ichor for its appearance excluding the black lines connecting his limbs and head.
- Due to this, it might imply Pebble's twisted variant became a Twisted due to some other reason.
- Twisted Pebble's growling whilst in his aggressive state actually originates from this video, occurring by the 0:15 timestamp.
- The sound was also edited to be bitcrushed.
- Twisted Pebble is also the only Twisted to constantly produce a noise other than footsteps when chasing.
- Twisted Pebble's spotting sound is a slowed-down version of the sound that plays when his Toon counterpart uses his active ability.
- Twisted Pebble, alongside
Twisted Coal and
Twisted Blot are the only optimized Twisteds without attack faces.
- This is due to Pebble and Coal have a 3D modelled face and Twisted Blot's attacking means not using his body.
- Twisted Pebble is currently the only Twisted Main Character Twisted to lack an actual ability.
- This is probably due to his heightened stats making him difficult enough.
- Twisted Pebble has a set of rock "ears" on his head, even though his Toon counterpart doesn't.
- Some people think they originated from his 2 legs (most likely ripped off during Ichor Operation) missing in his model, as Pebble has 4 while Twisted Pebble has 2.
- Twisted Pebble used to have a bug where he would leak large amounts of Ichor from his body.
- This was fixed in v0.12.5.
- Twisted Pebble used to have a bug where his sound effects were heavily modified, being really loud and bass boosted to the point of inflicting physical harm such as ear damage and, in worse scenarios, seizures.
- As a result, his footsteps were muted entirely as a temporary patch. This was done to isolate them for developers so they could focus on other possible causes, while also protecting the community in the meantime.
- This was fixed in v0.12.7, albeit with brand new footsteps altogether.
- This makes him the second Twisted to have his sound design changed, the first being
Twisted Sprout.
- This makes him the second Twisted to have his sound design changed, the first being
- Twisted Pebble is currently the only Main Character Twisted to lack an attack face.
