The star of the show. The one who runs the Ichor operation. It's all his fault.
Twisted Research

Twisted Dandy is currently the only LethalLethal Twisted found in Dandy's World for now. Upon 100% completion of his Research, you will acquire the Dandy Plush Trinket, which gives a 50% discount on all Dandy's Shop items.

Appearance[]

Twisted Dandy has a flower head with six petals that correspond to his toon counterpart's colors . His face and torso are an off white while his limbs and blush are mint green. His shoulders, chest, stomach, legs, and feet are covered in Ichor. Twisted Dandy's back has a hunch which resembles a cat's back standing up when they feel threatened. He has two loops of film taped wrapped around his stomach and lower back. His legs appear to be unguligrade, similar to a horse's. His arms are white fading into a light spring green by his forearms. Twisted Dandy has two loops of film Tape around and tapes jammed into each arm. He has red, orange, and yellow claws on his front right paw and green, blue, and purple claws on his front left paw. These claws are long, pointed and match his petals.

Description[]

Twisted Dandy is a massive, dangerous roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting his enigmatic counterpart, he has a unique spawning condition that must be met before he has a chance to spawn: Players must not buy any item from Dandy's Store for at least three Floors that he appears on. Each time every surviving Player skips a shop, Dandy will become increasingly upset. Upon skipping the third shop in a row, Dandy will become angry and Twisted Dandy will have a chance to spawn at a rate of 20%.

On every subsequent shop Players skip, this chance will increase: on the third time that you continue to ignore him, the music in his Shop will stop playing, and Twisted Dandy is almost guaranteed to spawn on the next Floor. Once this occurs (or if a Player purchases an Item from his Shop), he will go back to his cheerful self, and Players must skip another three Shops in order to have a chance at spawning Twisted Dandy again.

Twisted Dandy continuously emits the sound of a distorted version of music box 'Clair de Lune', and he makes stomping noises as he walks. These sounds are loud enough that they can be used to determine his location and if he has spawned on a Floor. When a Toon completes any Machine, Twisted Dandy will immediately charge towards the completed Machine unless another Toon has his attention. If he doesn't find a Toon at the location of the Machine, he will go back to wandering.

From the 6th floor, Twisted Dandy has a chance to appear. He will increase up to the 16th floor, when in an enraged form he has a 100% chance of appearing.

Strategy[]

Spawning[]

Make sure that all Players are on the same page before attempting to spawn Twisted Dandy. Since Dandy's shop is an important source of Items that will be fully off-limits while attempting this, try to avoid bringing Toons that are more reliant on Items such as Vee and Shrimpo, as they'll have a much harder time surviving. If you do intend to bring them, try to alert them to helpful Items found on Floors and reserve extra for them.

Some Toons that are especially well-equipped for Dandy Runs include:

  • Sprout - He's able to turn otherwise-useless Tapes into something that helps the party. Try to give him any Tapes you find.
  • Teagan - Teagan can also use Tapes, but only to heal herself.
  • Pebble/Coal - Pebble's Passive Ability, Fetch! highlights Items in the vicinity, ensuring less get left behind, while Coal's Active Ability, Scout, can highlight items for other players, making it even easier to find items like medkits or bandages which could prove an advantage. Pebble's SPEAK!!! Speak! Ability can be used to lure Twisted Dandy from anywhere on the map, redirecting him away from teammates or objectives.

Twisted Dandy[]

As Twisted Dandy is attracted to completed Machines from anywhere on the map, try to prime one or two to complete as bait if you see him drawing close to a poorly-equipped teammate. Do not prime Machines near the Elevator when he is present, as having him run there during Panic Mode is the last thing you want. Instead, prime a Machine that is either far away from or out of sight of the Elevator and have a fast teammate complete it once the other Machines are done. Conversely, if you trust your teammates, prime many machines near each other and pop them all at once in order to minimize the amount of time you spend running back and forth.

Once you complete any Machine while Twisted Dandy is present, duck behind cover or take the long way around to escape; his pathfinding will prioritize the shortest route towards it.

Unless Teagan or Sprout are present in your party, it is still recommended to pick up any Tapes you find. Dandy Runs can be difficult and you may choose to abort one after he spawns, your party members are depleted, or he sells some particularly useful Items- in these scenarios, having Tapes on hand is great. They're also good to have in the case that a team member forgets that you're trying to summon him and makes a purchase-- you should immediately seize the opportunity and buy anything good during that intermission since his spawn rate will be reset anyway.

Since Twisted Dandy has the same speed as Twisted Shrimpo, the best thing to do is remain aware. He can be Distracted and evaded as normal. Kiting him is both easier and harder due to his size, as he might switch directions. Try to stand at the end of a long island and feint to one side or the other to make him lose aggro faster. He has a harder time with corners, so use them to your advantage when you can, making sharp, sudden turns around objects. If pincered by Twisted Dandy and another Twisted, prioritize running past the other Twisted, as both the hitbox and damage difference make them much less of a risk. Avoid small objects unless you already have distance on him- he will just swap directions and get a hit.

Trivia[]

  • Twisted Dandy is the only Twisted in the LethalLethal category, meaning that he does three hearts worth of damage. You will not survive getting hit by Twisted Dandy.

  • You can hear a lullaby version of 'Clair de Lune' when Twisted Dandy appears.
    • It can be found here on the Roblox Audio Library.
  • If a Machine is completed, he will run straight to it from anywhere on the map. This behavior is the same for the Air Horn Item and Pebble's Active Ability, SPEAK!!! Speak.
  • Since Dandy's Shop only appears every even numbered Floor, the minimum number of Floors it takes to make him available is six.
  • Twisted Dandy is the largest Twisted.
  • Twisted Dandy will ignore the effects of the Savory Charm trinket.
  • It is implied Dandy can change his form between Twisted and Toon.
  • If you're with Connie and use your ability up against Twisted Dandy, he will still see her.
    • Similiarly to Connie, if a Smoke Bomb is used against Twisted Dandy, he will still see you.
    • However, unlike Connie, Bobette's ability works on Twisted Dandy.
  • If not counting Holiday-Related Twisteds, then Twisted Dandy has the longest Attention Span with a total of 5 seconds.
    • If counting the former however, Then Twisted Ginger has the longest and dethrones him with a total of 10 seconds.
    • In addition to that, Twisted Dandy is tied with Twisted Coal for the second-highest attention span; at a total of 5 seconds each.
  • You can only purchase Astro after encountering Twisted Dandy at least once.
