| “ | A more uncommon Twisted, Connie prefers to spend her time alone focused on possessing Ichor Machines. This activity fills her sense of purpose within Gardenview. When roaming she is harmless, though if disturbed while busy possessing a machine she becomes aggressive and will attack, remember she can't possess a machine forever. | ” |

|
Twisted Connie is one of the 40 Twisteds in Dandy's World. She was introduced on December 6, 2024, alongside
Twisted Looey. She is one of the 10 Uncommon Twisteds and can spawn on any Floor.
Upon 100% completion of her Research, you will acquire the
Ghost Snakes In A Can Trinket.
Appearance
Twisted Connie has a color palette which is duller than her
Toon counterpart's, and she seems to be frowning and crying Ichor, displaying tired, half-closed eyes with a dark cyan shadow between her eyes. Whenever a Toon interrupts her haunting of the Ichor Machine, she will show an annoyed expression. Her eyes, like many of the other Twisteds, take on a red appearance with a darker red ring in the middle of her pupil. She has jagged/crinkled-looking eyelashes. A chunk has been taken out of her white visor. However, her shirt is seemingly unaffected. She has wavy hair with Ichor staining the front ends. Ichor is dripping from both of her hands. In her wandering state, she appears to be a transparent light blue color (similar to her Toon counterpart while using her active ability).
Description
Twisted Connie has two states. Upon entering a new Floor and seeing her, she will take a transparent blue appearance and wanders around aimlessly. In this state, she will not attack Toons. You can gather
Tapes and Research by going near her without being harmed, similar to
Twisted Glisten. She will continue wandering around, temporarily possessing one Machine at a time near her occasionally, producing a blue smoke cloud when transitioning identical to her Toon Counterpart's ability.
If she possesses a completed Machine, it will give an appearance of almost completed (99%) progress but will still contribute towards the completion count. If the machine is uncompleted, its percentage will stay the same. If she possesses a machine as a player is doing it, the progress will be up to wherever it was before being possessed. There are three indicators of a machine being possessed without already knowing beforehand:
- The Machine's valve will be reset to its default position (upside down in the shape of a right-side-up Y).
- The valve of the Machine will rattle.
- The light at the top will flash blue and a shaking sound will be heard. This happens twice before Connie comes out of the Machine and wanders again.
- You'll receive Tapes when you approach the Machine, if she hasn't been encountered before.
If you interact with a possessed Machine, she will jump out of the Machine to attack you. This attack is unavoidable, and she will go back to her wandering state after. If Connie possesses a machine while it is being extracted, the player will automatically stop extracting. Do note if you do awake her during Machine possession she will only attack the person who extracted the machine not anyone else around it.
Strategies
Twisted Connie is one of, if not, the easiest Twisted to deal with. However, carelessness can make you lose a Heart for preventable reasons, so keeping an eye on her is important.
A strategy for surviving Twisted Connie is to communicate with your teammates when a Machine has been completed. Make sure to alert others as soon as you see that Twisted Connie is on the Floor even if you trust your teammates to watch out; it'll be helpful to distractors. If caught by Twisted Connie, you cannot avoid the attack, so try to pay attention. It might be beneficial to have someone follow Twisted Connie around, so people know where and in which Machine Connie is if your party has surplus members. In runs where you are alone, keeping track of which Machines you have completed can help. The best method, however, is to simply check the Machine handles before extracting. All in all, awareness will help you survive on the Floors where she appears.
If Connie has not yet been encountered on that Floor, the Tape collection sound will play if she's inside a Machine the player approaches when her Research is collected. Thus, deliberately avoiding her line of sight in order to retain this one-time alert is a niche-but-helpful strategy.
If
Vee's
Mic Check Ability is used while Twisted Connie is inside of a Machine, the word "Twisted" along with an arrow pointing to her will appear over her location, but she will not be highlighted. As this is unique to her, this always indicates her presence on a Floor.
Although it is not that recommended, you can try to follow Twisted Connie, as there will be a chance you get to run into an uncompleted Machine due to her idling patterns. However, this could waste time or lead you to dangerous Twisteds.
Before extracting the machine, wait 2–3 seconds to make sure Twisted Connie is not in the machine.
