Twisted Blot is a Rare Twisted found in Dandy's World. Upon 100% completion of his Research, you will acquire the Mime Makeup Trinket.

Appearance

Twisted Blot has a lot of differences with his Toon counterpart. His general colour is darker, and his makeup is smeared. The white of his eye is now red, and the iris is black. His pupil is made up of a red distorted ring surrounding a red blob shape. The back of his head is stained with Ichor and elongated, ending in a sharp point and dripping ichor. The end of the drips on his face are also stained with Ichor, along with his hands, which are now larger and clawed and have tapes wrapped around them.

Description

Twisted Blot is a Stationary Twisted, meaning he will not move, similar to Twisted Razzle & Dazzle and Twisted Rodger. He will reach into the ground and cause giant Ichor arms to appear on the map, and he will control them whenever his eye is open. The arms will attempt to attack Toons who get too close. After some time, the arms will despawn and Twisted Blot will rest and lift out his hands for about ten seconds, before spawning them again in a different location. Unlike Twisted Razzle & Dazzle and Twisted Rodger, his attack is not conditionally activated, and his arms will attack as long as a target is in range. This Twisted can also be a threat to new players, as when approaching close, will try and lure the players, and could make them think that there is a prize or a buff, but most new players will not fall for this, as it is obvious that the hands are evil.

Strategies

Twisted Blot himself is passive; he will sit on the floor, stationary, occasionally waking up to move the placements of his 2 Ichor arms. Getting close to his main body doesn't harm you, but unlike a Twisted like Twisted Glisten, even when he is awake, you won't gain Research by being close to him.

Even though Blot himself is harmless, his arms are hostile. Getting too close to either of them will result in the hand attempting to hit you, resulting in a Heart of damage if successful. Twisted Blot’s hands can be dodged, but you have to be quick about it. They have a windup period before they attempt to strike, so use that little time to exit the range of the hand. Sticking to the edge of the hand's range may make this easier to accomplish. Note that both hands have a somewhat short range, so they should be easy enough to escape.

Encounter research is granted by Twisted Blot's hands. Remember that to get the 5% encounter research, you may have to risk getting hit by the hand to gain it. One way to try and avoid being damaged is to walk into the very edge of the hand's range, triggering the attack (and the encounter research), then immediately turning around before using stamina to sprint back out the way you came. However, this is more difficult to do with slower Toons.

Twisted Blot’s hands can be very inconvenient. They can temporarily block off entire passageways and even machines, which forces Toons to wait for the hand to disappear, and they can force Toons to lose a heart if there is a Twisted chasing them and there is nowhere else to exit. The hands could also spawn in a distractor’s loop, causing them to swerve back and potentially get hit, along with causing a greater difficulty in distracting or forcing the distractor to change locations. If Twisted Blot’s hands start to spawn near you, immediately evacuate to avoid getting hit. You may have to wait it out if Twisted Blot’s hand spawns in an inconvenient area.

Try to avoid Twisted Blot’s hands as much as possible, especially in Blackouts, since they will blend in with the atmosphere, similarly to Twisted Sprout’s tendrils. Try to walk carefully to avoid running into them if a Blackout is present. You can also try to communicate where Twisted Blot’s hands currently are, so they don’t catch teammates off guard. Equip the Spare Bulb Trinket to see his arms even clearer.

Maps that have machines at a dead end are dangerous if Twisted Blot is on the floor, as his hands could block your way in or out.

Trivia

• Twisted Blot is the third Twisted to sit in their animations, with Twisted Razzle & Dazzle being the first and Twisted Yatta being the second.
  • Though, Twisted Blot is the only one to always sit as Twisted Razzle & Dazzle stands up when he is triggered and Twisted Yatta stops sitting when she is chasing someone.
• Twisted Blot’s capsules originally spelt his name as “Blott.” This has been fixed, and his name is now spelt correctly on his capsules.
• Twisted Blot's pupil is the same pattern as Blot Jr.'s eye drawing.
  • Twisted Blot is the second Twisted to have uniquely shaped pupils, the first being Twisted Gigi.
• Just like Twisted Razzle & Dazzle and Twisted Rodger, he has custom movement animations for Roleplay mode.
• Twisted Blot is the first Rare and just another Rarity other than Uncommon Twisted to be stationary. Currently, all other stationary Twisteds (Twisted Razzle & Dazzle and Twisted Rodger) are Uncommon.
• Twisted Blot is the third Twisted to summon traps, with the first being Twisted Sprout, and the second being Twisted Bassie.
  • Twisted Blot and Twisted Sprout’s traps are quite similar, with both being black and both damaging Toons near them.
  • This reflects how his toon counterpart can summon entities as well.
• Twisted Blot is the first Twisted to not give research when you go near their main body. You can tell this is the case since his sitting spot doesn’t give tapes when nearby.
  • This is because you gain an encounter by entering a Twisted's detection range. Twisted Blot's detection range is stored in his hands, not his main body.
• If you listen closely, before the Elevator opens, you can hear Twisted Blot summoning his hands if his hands are near enough. This technically makes him the second non-Main Character to have audio clues when the elevator door opens, the first being Twisted Brightney.
  • However, you can only hear Twisted Brightney if she activates a blackout and after the Elevator Door opens, making Twisted Blot the only non-Main Character Twisted to play audio clues no matter what before you enter the Floor.
• Twisted Blot's hand traps, despite it being part of him, will not be highlighted by Brightney and Vee's abilities, as well as the Party Popper. Only his main body will be highlighted.
• Twisted Blot is one of the few Twisteds with optimized animations, yet no attack face. Another example is Twisted Coal, and Twisted Pebble.
• Twisted Blot reacts when Cocoa uses her ability when next to him.
• If you touch Twisted Blot’s actual body, you will not lose any hearts.
• Due to how Twisted Blot's hands' spawning works, they can spawn in awkward locations, such as on top of crates, inside exhibits on maps like Astro Map, or humorously, even hovering above Twisted Razzle & Dazzle or Twisted Rodger. This can lead to very unusual visuals, such as Blot's fingers poking through walls or Blot's hands sinking into shelves and still being visible. Despite this, he can still pose a threat and attack Toons.
• Due to Twisted Blot being the colour black, he is hard to see in Blackouts.
  • Other Twisteds that are hard to see in a blackout are Twisted Finn, Twisted Toodles, Twisted Coal, Twisted Rodger's capsule, and Twisted Sprout's tendrils.
• He is the 4th Twisted to have 2 different attack animations (He has another melee attack in Roleplay Mode), the first 3 being Twisted Scraps, Twisted Goob and Twisted Sprout.
• Sometimes, when his hands sink, they could rise up straight for a split second before unloading. This is probably when the hands T-pose.
