“ | One of the Holiday Main Characters of Dandy's World. The fear of never living up to other's expectations has caused her to act out in desperation. When occupying a floor, this Twisted grows Ichor-drenched flowers that slow those too close to them, allowing her or fellow Twisteds a better chance to catch their target. | ” |

Twisted Bassie is a Main Character Holiday Twisted found in Dandy's World. Upon 100% completion of her Research, you will acquire the Whispering Flower Trinket.
Appearance
Twisted Bassie is much taller and has many differences compared to her Toon counterpart. The flowers and leaves in her basket look trampled and are stained with Ichor, which drips down over her face and the handles of her basket. Her legs are replaced with roots made of Ichor, and flowers sprout from her right shoulder, from which a long, vine-like, clawed arm made of Ichor replaces her right arm. Her eyes now have red sclerae, black irises, and tiny red pupils. The iris in her left eye is much larger than the one in her right eye. Her expression is possibly pained with the left side of her face being possibly paralyzed. The left side of her face has an expression that seems tired or depressed/upset, while the right side of her face has a crazed, restless, and likely pained expression. She is also crying Ichor out of her right eye, some coming out of her mouth and there are some covering her neck . During a chase or upon hearing a failed skill-check, her expression becomes manic and excited, and her left eye closes.
Description
Twisted Bassie has a unique mechanic where there are specific points on the map where she places flower traps. When walking into or near these flowers, the player will be (essentially) applied with the Slow
III
debuff, decreasing Walk Speed by 50% while for Run speed 60%. However, it does not show the debuff's icon in-game. Additionally, these flower traps seem to make you less visible; whilst caught in one, it's much harder for a Twisted to notice you.(Unless The Twisted Is near The flower which will cause them to spot you)
Strategies
Twisted Bassie's mechanic effectively cuts off routes, especially to Toons in a chase, as the severe slowness debuff can doom you to being hit. Lower Movement Speed Toons, such as Shrimpo,
Razzle & Dazzle (on even floors), and
Connie, may have an even harder time surviving due to their already abysmal 1
Movement Speed. Make sure to be aware of where each flower trap is placed, and avoid those places while in a chase.
If you are planning to distract Twisted Bassie, it's recommended to use Dog Plush or any other speed Trinkets and to steer clear of her flowers. Her speed isn't extraordinarily fast, so you should be able to distract her easily as long as you avoid her flowers and other sources of debuffs. You won't have to worry too much about losing aggro due to her higher attention span.
Items may also help if you are caught in a chase and can't avoid walking into flowers, as items like Speed Candy, Box o' Chocolate, and Eject Button can help you escape these situations quickly.
Even though Twisted Bassie’s flowers slow you down significantly, they can be useful as well! While in her flower traps, Twisted’s vision will be blocked by the flowers, as long as they aren’t too close. However, they shouldn’t always be relied on to get you out of sticky situations, due to the -50% slowness. With some strategic movements though, they can be beneficial.

Trivia
- Her flowers block Twisteds' vision (unless they're inside it)[1]
- Twisted Bassie is guaranteed to spawn on floor 20 during the Easter Event, as to make obtaining her Research easier, just like
Twisted Bobette during the Christmas Event.[2]
- Twisted Bassie produces bird/ghost-like creature noises.
- Twisted Bassie is the first Main Character Twisted whose face reflects two expressions at the same time. She appears to be half conscious, since half of her face is sad while the other has a crazed expression, similarly to
Twisted Razzle & Dazzle.
- She is the second Main Character Twisted to have their mechanic to spawn traps, with the first being
Twisted Sprout.
- Additionally, Twisted Bassie is the only Main Character Twisted in which their traps don’t cause damage.
- She is the fourth Main Character Twisted to not directly inflict any Debuffs on Toons, with the first being
Twisted Pebble, the second being Twisted Sprout, and the third being Twisted Bobette.
- Her flowers technically apply the
Slow
Ⅲ
debuff, according to the speed multipliers but it is not shown on the Toon's head.

- For some reason, Twisted Bassie does not have the Main Character hit sound and instead shares the hit sounds of a normal Twisted. This is most likely something lore related as to her placement in the main cast being doubted. Though this could also just be a case of the development team forgetting to implement it, much like they had with
Bobette's dialogue sound.
- Some players also don't hear the Main Character hit sound with Twisted Bobette, besides some sort of swinging sound that can be heard whenever she attacks a Toon.
- Twisted Bassie is a Twisted that tries to help other Twisteds catch the Toons, as implied by her description. This might be referring to her
Toon counterpart, who constantly compares herself to other Toons and tries desperately to live up to their expectations as she fears being replaced.
- Like
Twisted Yatta, she shares the same speed as
Twisted Astro and
Twisted Gigi.
- The sound she makes when spotting a player is similar to her second idle sound, except her second idle sound is lower-pitched.
- Like Twisted Astro and Twisted Pebble, Twisted Bassie doesn't leave Ichor footprints.
- Her flowers will still slow you down even if you use an Eject Button, but the item will remove the lingering effects as soon as you are out of the flower.
