Toodles the Eight Ball, also known as Toodles is one of the 23 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on June 14th, 2024. She is in the Uncommon Rarity and is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Toodles' head is a gray, almost black 8-ball with a white spot on her forehead with a light gray number "8" in it. She has black blush underneath her eyes and she wears a white, sleeveless dress with a gray hood and two black drawstrings hanging from it. She usually has a playful grin on her face that reveals her teeth.

Personality

Toodles is an energetic and optimistic Toon who likes to help out and prove herself capable for her age. She doesn’t like to admit her weaknesses, such as her fear of the dark, as shown in her interaction with Brightney and with one of her dialogues when descending to the next floor. She shows her fear more in her interaction with Shrimpo, where she says she finds elevators scary. She also can be quite curious, and wants to help and doesn’t like when Rodger doesn’t allow her to help him in his cases.

Strategies

Toodles is a decent Toon with well-rounded stats and a decent Ability. She has no particular playstyle, but her slightly lower Extraction Speed and higher-than-average Stealth makes her a better Survivor than Extractor. The Stealth in particular along with her cheap price make her useful to new players.

Toodles' ability Beginner's Luck grants her +15% to a random Stat for 10s, which is an important part of her playstyle. The buff granted is indicated by the colour of the particles Toodles gains.

Toodles needs to have a good amount of adaptability to make use of her Ability. Depending on the situation, it could grant something useful or useless, which has to be kept in mind. It's generally good to use it either as often as possible or whenever you're in danger (depending on how risky the current Floor is), since the worst it can do is nothing. You shouldn't rely on the Ability due to its random nature, but it's definitely a useful tool.

Since Toodles' Ability can either grant her something that aids in Extraction or escape (Skill Check/Extraction Speed/Stealth vs. Movement Speed, Max Stamina, and Stealth) you really have a 3/5 chance of getting something helpful for your current activity. Just be sure to keep the possibility of a Stealth increase in mind as it can cause Twisteds to switch targets if you're near Cosmo. Since her Ability might not be helpful and doesn't last long enough to switch activities, it's much less potent than most (about as powerful as the Gumball Item). Its extremely short cooldown does offer some value, though! Toodles can benefit a lot from the Practice/Rehearsal Cards as taking both will reduce her cooldown to 15 seconds, a much more useful frame.

Toodles doesn't have any large need for specific Items or Trinkets; you can mostly go for whatever you want.

Her higher-than-average Stealth can help her bring Twisteds to Distractors.

Trinket Combinations

Toodles high survivability unlocks dozens of possible Trinkets combos, but most recommended ones are:

Extraction

• Participation Award/Magnifying Glass(Extraction). This combo allows her to switch to Extractor gameplay, though Skill Check window will be quite small.
• Magnifying Glass or Vee's Remote/Peppermint Icing(Survivalist). Playing the role of a survivalist, this pair allows Toodles to extract at a decent pace, while Peppermint Icing is used to take advantage of Beginner's Luck low cooldown to help her regenerate stamina mid-chase and doing machines.
• Clown Horn/Ribbon Spool(Movement Speed). If you want to zoom around, can also be used to become theoretically secondary distractor.
• Sweet Charm/Ghost Snakes In A Can (Ability Cooldown). In pair with Rehearsal/Practice decreases cooldown from 25 to 9.2 seconds. The ability can be used before the boosted Stat ends, providing a quick double effect.

  • The rest of the Toons are adults, as confirmed by Qwel.
  • However, all the Toons' exact ages are currently unknown.
  • Qwel stated she does not want any ships with Toodles or Pebble.
• She is also the third shortest character, the first being Pebble and the second being Shelly.
• Toodles' name could be from "Toodles", an informal way to say goodbye.
  • Qwel did confirm that they wanted a character named "Toodles" for no reason.
• Toodles is hinted at to have nyctophobia as one of her lines when moving to a new floor and an interaction with Brightney involve her hoping to avoid floors being dark "for no reason". This also implies that she doesn't like to admit weakness, something supported by her Introduction Card.
