Scraps the Paper Craft, also known as Scraps, is one of the 38 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on June 14, 2024. She is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Scraps is a yellow, cat-like paper craft. Her head is hexagonal with pointed, salmon-colored ears that each have a fold down the middle (vertically). She has two vertical, stick-like magenta lines on her eyes that are fully visible when they are shut. She wears a white dress resembling an upside-down cupcake liner and has a tail poking through it. Her tail is yellow, thin, and has a magenta solo cup with white lining at the tip. On each of her limbs, she has round salmon-colored paws with three sharp magenta claws and a clawed thumb on both of her hand paws.

Personality

Scraps is a kind Toon who cares about the well-being of the other Toons, especially her younger brother, Goob. She is sometimes airheaded and forgets to do things, such as in her interactions with Brightney and Tisha. Despite not being a cat, she has many tendencies of one, such as liking yarn, hissing in some of her dialogues, liking fish, disliking water, and wagging her tail when annoyed or angry. She also may get somewhat aggressive and a bit immature in some situations, such as in her interactions with Pebble and another with Shrimpo. Overall, she is mature for the most part and cares about her brother Goob, making sure that she is there for him. She also likes making arts and crafts, as stated in her introduction card.

Mastery Strategies

• For the first task, equip Ghost Snakes In A Can and Sweet Charm to shorten the cooldown. Also vote for Rehearsal/Practice cards to further reduce it.
• For the second task, equip Dandy Plush and Fancy Purse to be able to buy from Dandy's shop quickly.
• For the third task, just play normally and try to encounter Twisteds. If there is a distractor, ask them to bring the Twisteds to the Elevator when Panic Mode hits.
• For the fourth and five task, go around the map and collect all the Items on the Floor and repeat. You can also invite some Toons to make this faster. Prioritize Gumballs and Box o' Chocolates as they let you use more items.
• For the sixth task, equip Pink Bow and Clown Horn (better)/ Ribbon Spool and walk/run around the map. Invite some Toons to make this faster if you want.

Do note that the strategies above are designed for the quickest completion. Masteries are completable in your own pace, no rush needed, and some ideas could be unsuitable for a normal run.

Strategies

Scraps possesses the best Stamina stat in the game (tied with Sprout, Bobette, and Blot) and an Ability that has the potential to help her escape from Twisteds or to quickly get to the Elevator during Panic Mode — granted there's another Toon or Machine nearby. These traits make her best suited to Survival. While her below-average Movement Speed does partially negate her large Stamina pool, Items and Trinkets are more than capable of turning her into a force to be reckoned with. Otherwise, she doesn't excel at anything in particular.

Hovering your mouse over nearby Toons on PC or being in their proximity on Mobile can quickly identify Players or machines with a white outline to grapple onto them. This is useful for noticing teammates through walls, but remember that her Ability Crafty Grapple requires line of sight, however, if the target moves behind an object, you will continue to move to their location when you had initially grappled anyways. This could also work on machines, but it is less efficient as you cannot rely on machines to spawn in the right spots every run and grappling on Machines should more often than not be used if planning to extract them, but it is still a helpful tool.

With Scraps' new buff, hovering her Ability over walls can sometimes allow the player to view machines in close proximity (if there is one), similar to how Vee's passive works but with the difference of being able to still check finished machines.

While she does have 5 Stamina, her 2 Star Movement Speed can conflict a lot, matching Vee and Rodger, making her only outrun the Twisteds by a little bit, making it hard to lose sight of them. It is heavily recommended to use Run Speed trinkets such as Pink Bow (24.2 run speed), Speedy Shoes (23.125 run speed). With this, she can have lots of stamina to run as well as having enough Run Speed to get away. Using Clown Horn/ Ribbon Spool together is also good, but it will take both of your Trinket slots, though it comes at the benefit of 24.75 Run Speed, almost 3 Star Run Speed. Though, if you still want a Trinket slot open for something else, Pink Bow would probably be the best option out of these in terms of consistency.

Scraps isn't the best Toon for Dyle runs; her lower mobility and Skill Check both pose large disadvantages, as she will struggle to get away from Twisteds (though this is somewhat mitigated by her Stamina pool) and her 2 Star Skill Check could put you at risk if you aren't good at hitting them. Though, she does have a niche at the same time, as the abundant amount of Machines scattered around the Floor can allow for quick traversal and escapes, thanks to her Ability's cooldown. If you struggle with survivability in terms of Movement Speed, Glisten may be a better alternative, as he has 3 Star Movement Speed and can extract much faster. His Ability's much longer cooldown, as well it not working on Machines, the 2 Star Stealth stat and shared Skill Check stat could make the switch kind of iffy.

If you want to enhance Scraps' Extraction, using Vee's Remote is a great option as the floor can progress faster. Her below-average extractability makes extracting quite difficult for her, so, if other extractors are present, ask them to do your Machine, and use the time saved to find other Machines or run to the Elevator before Panic Mode begins.

Survival

• Pink Bow/Options
  • This Trinket enables Scraps to outrun all Twisteds but Twisted Pebble, Twisted Gourdy and Twisted Dyle before Panic Mode (24.2 run speed). Here are some options to pair Pink Bow with:
    • Speedy Shoes, to outrun Twisted Pebble before Panic Mode (25.3 run speed);
    • Vanity Mirror, to outrun every Twisted except for Twisted Gourdy (without Suppression) and Twisted Dyle during Panic Mode (31.4 run speed);
    • Magnifying Glass or Vee's Remote, to help with floor progression.

Ability Centred

• Ghost Snakes In A Can/Any
  • Ghost Snakes reduces Crafty Grapple's cooldown (20s).
  • Peppermint Icing - Stamina regeneration from Icing creates a decent survival set from escaping Twisteds from her active ability when low on Stamina.
  • Sweet Charm - Further reduce cooldown (18s).
  • Using Practice and Rehearsal cards will drop her cooldown to 8 seconds.

• Diary/Any - Allows Scraps to use Crafty Grapple on 3 Stealth Toons without taking the Twisted's aggro from them, making it even safer to use her Ability, especially on distractors.

Extraction

  • Vee's Remote - This set allows for quicker Floor progression, especially if other teammates also carry Vee's Remote.
  • Participation Award - This set speeds up machine completion by maximizing Skill Check extraction. However, it leaves you with a near 1 Star Window Size.

Trivia

• In v0.7.1, Scraps' ability Crafty Grapple was buffed to allow her to grab onto machines as well, instead of just Toons.
• Before v0.7.1, if Scraps grappled onto a Toon and said Toon moved behind an object, her ability would fail and she would be stuck in place. This has been removed.
• Scraps is the older sister of Goob, even though Goob seems taller than her.
• There is a Scraps information card under the elevator in game, this is used for the arrows to know where to point during Panic Mode.
• Though her appearance is cat-like, she has stated that she isn't an actual cat and just has a feline appearance.
  • Despite this, Scraps claims to have an appetite for fish (which can be seen in a dialogue with Finn) and hisses in some lines of dialogue (one with Shrimpo and one with Pebble).
    • She also likes yarn, as stated in Tisha's dialogue, which can be seen in her room — a common stereotype for cats.
    • Similar to a real cat, her tail wags/thrashes when she's annoyed or angry, as shown in her interaction with Looey.
      • Seen in an animation, her tail might give a small swish if she's happy/excited.
    • In an animation, she jumps on the buzzer scared when Vee appears next to her, with her pose being similar to how cats react when they are scared by something in cartoons.
• Her name, Scraps, is a term used to describe small, leftover pieces of materials, especially taken from a bigger piece. This name may have been given to her due to her being a paper craft, which are usually made from scraps of paper.
  • Her cobbled-together appearance may also be a reason for this name.
  • Another reason for this name could be that Scraps is a feline-like name.
• Scraps does not mind Dandy, but wants him to not let Pebble into the elevator, as stated in one of her interactions with Pebble.
• Scraps has apparently won every prize Vee has given away on her show by giving lucky guesses for every answer.
  • This implies that Scraps can be very lucky, which is mentioned in an interaction with Vee. Cats are often tied to luck, which is likely the source of this trait.
• In Roleplaying Mode, Scraps shares the same room with Goob because they are siblings.
• Scraps is designation SC-015. The SC most likely stands for Secondary/Side Character.
  • Despite being older than Goob, Goob was created before Scraps.
• Scraps is the first non-Main Character Toon to have 5 on a stat, the second being Glisten, the third being Gigi, the fourth being Connie, the fifth being Yatta, the sixth being Blot and the seventh being Soulvester.
• If Scraps and Goob use their Abilities on each other simultaneously, they will cancel out and the Scraps doesn't move.
  • If 2 Scraps use their Abilities on each other, they meet up in the middle.
• Goob and Scraps have a similar Ability, with Goob's letting him drag Toons towards him, and Scraps being able to do that only to herself.
• The magenta lines over Scraps' eyes are actually crayon makeup.
  • It is also likely that her Trinket, Crayon Set, was used to draw the lines.
• Scraps was originally male in old concept art, being visible in some posters where she has no eyelashes and missing spaces between pronouns on her info card.
  • She is not canonically transgender, however.
• Scraps was originally not going to be Goob's sister when Qwel was designing her. But this was changed since Qwel thought it'd be a nice connection, and put the two together as siblings, mostly given that they're both crafts.
• Originally, Scraps was not intended to be cat-like. Her 'cat ears' were initially intended on being horns, but they resembled cat ears strongly enough that Qwel decided to cave in with the cat look.
  • In a QnA stream, Qwelver referred to Scraps' ears as horns on accident.
  • This might explain why Shrimpo says "AND I DON'T LIKE YOUR EAR, HORN, THINGYS!!" in one of his dialogues with her.
• Scraps would be nervous if someone else is watching her draw, as confirmed by Qwel in a New Years QnA stream.
• Due to a bug after the 2024 Christmas Event, her Cutesy Calico skin was completely removed from Dandy's Store. This bug was fixed and the skin returned later in a patch.
• There was a bug where her Cutesy Calico Skin had no right foot on June 25, 2025. This was fixed shortly after.
• Scraps and Vee have the longest interaction in the game, with 7 lines.
• Scraps has acrophobia (fear of heights) seen in her interaction with Flutter.
  • This is rather ironic considering her feline nature, since cats usually seek higher ground.
• Despite her head being a hexagon, in the storyboard for Season 2, Episode 8, her head is an octagon, very likely a mistake.
• In Scraps' dialogue with Brusha, it seems Scraps believes Brusha's art isn't as real as her own art, as seen between the dialogue between the two. It also seems as if the two aren't on good terms as Brusha calls Scraps 'Glitter Glue painting'.
• Scraps is one of the few Toons to actually fight back against Shrimpo's bullying, albeit with hissing, with Connie being the only other Toon to fight back.
  • Sprout and Brightney do too, though their slightly weak responses — only saying "Don't." and "No!" respectively — does make this iffy.
• Scraps cannot use her Ability if there is an Ichor Puddle between her and the target.
  • This was probably because a Puddle acted like a semi-permeable invisible wall, only allowing Twisteds/Toons, but not others like her Ability or even Line of Sight.
  • The same happens for Goob's ability.
