Rudie the Reindeer, also known as Rudie, is one of the 12 Holiday Toons in Dandy's World. He was introduced on January 10, 2025, alongside Bobette Render Bobette, Coal Render Coal, and Ginger Render Ginger. He is only available during the Christmas Event in Bobette's Store.

Appearance

Rudie is an anthropomorphic brown reindeer with unguligrade legs and a large, red nose. He has lighter patches of brown on his face, insides of his ears and on his torso. His hooves, spots and neck fur are dark brown, and he has red and white candy cane-like antlers on the top of his head. During Blackouts, his nose glows red.

Personality

Rudie is a cheerful and friendly Toon who has a passion for the holidays and seems to believe that it is Christmas every day. He has a very jolly and happy personality, and is always in a festive spirit.

Mastery Strategies

  • For the first task, equip Ghost Snakes In A Can Ghost Snakes In A Can and Sweet Charm Sweet Charm to shorten the cooldown. Also vote for Rehearsal Icon Rehearsal/Practice cards to further reduce it.
  • For the second task, use Vee's Remote Vee's Remote or other Extracting Trinkets to extract fast. You can also ask someone to prime all the Machines and finish them yourself. You can also ask your teammates to save an Item like Instructions Instructions or Valve Valves for you. You can invite some Toons to help you.
  • For the third and sixth task, go around the map and collect all the Items on the Floor and repeat. You can also invite some Toons to make this faster. Prioritize Gumballs Gumballs and Box o' Chocolates Box o' Chocolates as they let you use more items.
  • For the fourth task, try joining a run (a full one, if possible) and playing. The extra people can help make floor progression faster.
  • For the fifth task, equip Dog Plush Dog Plush and Clown Horn Clown Horn (better)/Ribbon Spool Ribbon Spool and walk/run around the map. Invite some Toons to make this faster if you want.

Do note that the strategies above are designed for the quickest completion. Masteries are completable in your own pace, no rush needed, and some ideas could be unsuitable for a normal run.

Strategies

Rudie might look like an underwhelming version of Flutter Render Flutter at first, but is actually more accurately described as a better version of Poppy Render Poppy due to his balanced stats and similar Ability, along with producing light during Blackouts. His active ability, Rudie Ability IconAntler Charge, allows him to dash forward by increasing both his Walk Speed and Run Speed by 50, is equal to Flutter's dashing ability. You can utilize this to get around or avoid danger. If you end up getting cornered in some way, his ability can help you get out of the area unscathed. His cooldown is also very short, meaning it is easy to get around places and escape situations at almost any time. In Panic Mode, you can dash into the Elevator making it easier to avoid dying to the Panic Mode timer.

Survivability

  • Peppermint Icing Peppermint Icing/Ghost Snakes In A Can Ghost Snakes In A Can
    • This can allow Rudie to take advantage of his ability's short cooldown, restoring a bit of Stamina and shortening the cooldown even further. Combined with Stamina Increasing and Cooldown Reducing Cards, he is even able to distract by himself.
  • Pink Bow Pink Bow/Options
    • This Trinket enables Rudie to outrun all Twisteds before Panic Mode (26.9 run speed). Here are some options to pair Pink Bow with:
      • Speedy Shoes Speedy Shoes, to further improve run speed (28.2 run speed);
      • Vanity Mirror Vanity Mirror, to outrun every Twisted during Panic Mode (35 run speed);
      • The Trinkets listed in the Extraction section, to help with floor progression; etc.

Trivia

  • Rudie is one of the first Holiday Toons added in the game, along with Bobette Render Bobette, Coal Render Coal, and Ginger Render Ginger.
  • Rudie is the first bipedal Toon whose legs and feet are not plantigrade in nature, with the second being Cocoa Render Cocoa, and the third being Eclipse Render Eclipse.
  • It might be implied that the reason Rudie thinks every day is Christmas is because of how the Christmas Holiday Toons naturally isolate themselves when it's not winter, leading him to be constantly excited or yearning for said event.
  • Rudie, Flyte Render Flyte, and Flutter Render Flutter share the same ability sound.
  • Rudie was the first Holiday Toon to be teased.
  • Rudie, Eggson Render Eggson, Poppy Render Poppy, and Boxten Render Boxten share the same stats, which is 3 Statistics Star for all sections (15 evenly divided stars).
    • Rudie is the only one out of these four Toons to have an active ability.
  • Rudie's appearance and name are heavily based off the famous Christmas character, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
  • One of his renders for the Ornament store implies that he knows how to juggle.
  • Rudie is the fifth Toon in the game to be an actual living thing, rather than an object, being a reindeer. The first being Dandy Render Dandy and Shrimpo Render Shrimpo, the second being Flutter and Shelly Render Shelly, the thrid being Flyte, and the fourth being Eclipse Render Eclipse.
