Ribbon Spool is one of the 47 usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World. It is obtained by achieving 100% Research on Twisted Razzle & Dazzle.
Appearance
The icon appears as a red ribbon (matching Razzle & Dazzle's necks/scarf) wound around a hollow ribbon spool (similar to a spool of thread) with one half of the spool being white and the other side being black (matching Razzle & Dazzle's body shades). The interior is the same shade of red.
Strategy
Whilst this Trinket was specifically designed to help Razzle & Dazzle on even floors, Distractors/Kiters also have a use for this, as it significantly increases your speed on even floors. Using this Trinket with Dog Plush allows you to easily outwalk most Twisteds. However, the extra speed is locked to even numbered floors, and when using it solo benefits are pretty RNG-based as it relies on the more dangerous Twisteds to spawn on even floors.
You can also use this Trinket if Razzle & Dazzle is distracting (proficiently) for your party. This is because during even floors, Razzle & Dazzle cannot distract, so Ribbon Spool provides a better buff than
Speedy Shoes/Dog Plush as long as Razzle & Dazzle is still alive. In most other cases other Trinkets may be considered superior as they provide a bonus on all floors rather than leaving you out of a Trinket slot every other.
Pairing up with Dog Plush grants the player 21% Walk speed, which allows Pebble and
Looey to sprint tap
Twisted Pebble. Having two Pebbles- one with Dog Plush/
Clown Horn and one with Dog Plush/Ribbon Spool- and having them alternate distracting is a great strategy, and provides the benefits of having downtime to pick up items/gain tapes.
Pairing this trinket with Clown Horn will consistently give you both 10% Walk and Run Speed buffs, as Clown Horn activates on odd floors with the same speed buff.
Trivia

- This Trinket might be the only one made specifically for the Toon you collect Research from to get it.
- It might also not be, as Blue Bandana helps Boxten (reducing Skill Checks for Newbies), Fancy Purse supports Teagan (1x ability use), Brick intensifies Shrimpo, Spare Bulb brightens Brightney, Bone works well with Pebble, etc.
