Research Map is one of the 55 usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World and is one of the 14 that can be bought from Dandy's Store in the Lobby for 200 Ichor.

Appearance

Research Map appears to be a treasure map. Red lines and two red X's are drawn on the map, along with Ichor covering the left corners of it. The map also appears to have cut off pieces of paper, with lines drawn on the left, right and top part.

Strategies

This Trinket can be used for Toons such as Rodger or Looey as one of their Mastery quests ask to collect 125 Research Capsules. Note that you can also use Coal and Pebble's Abilities as alternatives, though Research Map highlights more often. This is also useful if you are trying to gain research on a Twisted.

Considering this is an easily obtainable Trinket (only costing 200 Ichor), this Trinket benefits beginners well, helping them be able to get more Ichor and Research for purchasing new Toons/getting more Trinkets. If you have no need for Research (likely due to already having it), this Trinket isn't the best choice.

This Trinket may aid you if you tend to play with high graphics, as the shadows could sometimes hide Research Capsules, specifically in corners. This shouldn't be too much of an issue though, as Research Capsules are decently obvious due to the slightly larger size compared to other Items.

Research Map also synergizes quite well with Rodger's Passive. His Passive doubles Research from Capsules and Research Map can help him detect Capsules quicker, combined with his above-average Extraction Speed can allow him to progress through Floors quickly to grind Research, especially if you are using an Extraction related Trinket like Vee's Remote or Magnifying Glass.

Additionally, Research Map will not highlight fake Twisted Rodger Capsules, so this allows you to identify his Capsules quickly and easily, and alert your teammates.

Trivia

• It is the fifth Trinket to highlight something for the user, the other ones being Party Popper, Whispering Flower, Festive Lights, Egg Radar, Bone Needle and Thread, Memory Locket and Moon Pack Heirloom.
  • Research Map is so far the only Trinket to not highlight Twisted Rodger's Capsules.
• This Trinket ties with the Coin Purse in being the cheapest to obtain via Ichor, with both also being the easiest to complete prerequisite tasks for, with only 1 requirement.
