Flyte is an outgoing fellow who has a grounded view on life! He rather stay out of trouble and make sure others stay away from the same trouble as well.
Introduction Card

Flyte the Butterfly, also known as Flyte, is one of the 8 Holiday Toons in Dandy's World. He was introduced on April 18th, 2025, alongside Bassie, Cocoa, and Eggson. He is only available during the Easter Event in Bassie's Store.

Appearance

Flyte is a tall, pastel cyan butterfly. He has an upside-down teardrop shaped head and pastel cyan legs. Atop his head, he has two antennae that end in dark cyan clovers. He wears pink makeup under his eyelids and a long, dark cyan cloak the same colour as his antennae. He sports pink fluff around his neck, and pastel pink wings. Each wing has clover markings of a darker shade of pink on them on the upper halves. He has no visible arms or mouth. Flyte walks instead of flying, and has a taller build than most Toons.

Personality

Flyte is portrayed as a caring and friendly toon, though he most likely has a fathomless facade behind him. As seen in some dialogues, he frequently checks up on other Toons to make sure they are okay. He is implied to be somewhat indolent and laid-back in some of his dialogues, bickering with Flutter about how much he flies compared to her. He seems to care very much for his little sister Flutter and fusses over her at times, much to her annoyance. As said in his UGC item's description, he may also be a little snarky sometimes.

Mastery

  • Use this Toon's Active Ability 85 times!
  • Reach Floor 12!
  • Survive 5 Floors with Flutter in your round!
  • Finish 60 Machines!
  • Survive 45 Floors!
  • Travel 90000 Meters!

Reward: Vintage Flyte skin

Mastery Strategies

  • For the first task, you can equip Ghost Snakes In A Can and Sweet Charm to reduce your cooldown as much as you can. Using Practice and Rehearsal cards can also be helpful.
  • For the second task, you can find a good team or go solo and reach floor 12.
  • For the third task, you can try finding Flutter in a public lobby or just ask your friend to play as her.
  • For the fourth and fifth tasks, just play normally. You can equip extraction trinkets like Vee's Remote for the fourth task to help with it, but it won't be necessary due to Flyte's 4-star extraction speed.
  • For the sixth task, you just have to run around the floor as much as you can. On solo runs, you can equip Clown Horn (and other speed-enhancing Trinkets to speed up the process) and never leave the first floor.

Strategies

Flyte is an excellent All-Around Toon with 4 Movement Speed, 3 Stars Stealth, and 4 Stars Extraction Speed. Because of his ability, he can be a beneficial support who can increase Movement Speed for other Toons. Most of his stats are almost identical to Tisha with the only difference being the Stars for Skill Check and Extraction Speed being swapped in Flyte's case.

Though also generally useful, his active ability can come in handy for 1 Star Movement Speed Toons like Connie, Razzle & Dazzle (on even-numbered floors), and Shrimpo since they may have trouble getting away from fast Twisteds like Twisted Cocoa and Twisted Shelly. In addition, the gust can affect himself unlike Tisha's active ability who can only affect other Toons but not herself, but it also gives 25% Movement Speed for the same duration unlike Flyte's 15% Movement Speed buff.

Other applications for Flyte's ability include the following:

  • Escaping Twisteds - it can be used like Flutter's ability.
  • Using it in front of other Toons to both boost them and insert oneself in front of the Twisteds to take aggro. Positioning matters; try not to put your boost behind them.
  • To grant a speed boost to teammates at the start of a Floor when the most people will be affected by it and to give your Distractor an early start.
  • Helping others get to the Elevator in time. Try to place it a decent distance away (so that other Toons get the most use out of it) if possible, but as you can't place it too far ahead of time, pay a lot of attention to who's approaching and who hasn't made it yet. As this is the most important use on most Floors, attempt to save your ability for Panic Mode once a majority of Machines have been completed.
  • Boosting the distractor while they're dealing with dangerous scenarios. Try not to randomly boost them without warning; the speed may throw them off if they're not dealing with specific threats. Use your ability on Distractors at the beginning of Floors, near Elevator during Panic Mode, when they're dealing with Twisted Vee/Pebble, and if they seem to be struggling or to take aggro from them if you're backup. Try not to "help" them otherwise unless they communicate differently. When boosting them, try to anticipate their path and put it there before they even get close so that you don't get in their way.
  • It can be applied while distracting to regenerate stamina, increase your gap, or take Twisteds more easily.

Flyte's ability affects other Toons equally, acting as a physical "power-up" that others must touch to receive the buff. His ability works on himself as well, making it easy to use during chases where multiple Toons are at risk. It's good to note that a 5-second 15% speed boost won't always be enough to escape Twisteds, though!

Using Flyte's ability during a Blackout can produce light. While it's not much light, it can still help other players navigate through the Floors or make it easier for players to know where an item could be like a Bandage or a Health Kit if they had a hard time trying to find the item in the dark. Highlighting the Elevator or correct path during Panic Mode may be helpful for new players with low graphics settings.

Overall, he functions very similarly to Tisha but with a slight stat swap and the decrease speed buff percentage in his ability.

Trinket Combinations

This article/section's information is based on personal preferences from different players. Adding information that may prove better results is appreciated.

Recommended Trinket combinations for Flyte:

Mobility

  • Dog Plush/ Speedy Shoes or Options
    • The current meta distractor set. Flyte will out-walk fast twisteds and supplement his ability to loop Twisted Pebble (20.2 walk speed);
    • Due to low Stamina and average Stealth, Flyte is generally better as a backup distractor, leaving the spotlight to more capable Toons, such as Pebble. Here are some of the other options to pair with Dog Plush if you want to be a backup distractor.

I just...don't want you helping the wrong person, y'know? It could be dangerous for you.
Well Flyte, I think everyone deserves a little help!
Cocoa (2)
Hey Flyte! How are you doing?

Trivia

  • Flyte is confirmed to be Flutter's older brother.
  • Unlike his sister Flutter, Flyte usually traverses by foot. Twisted Flyte, however, uses flight.
  • Also unlike his sister Flutter, Flyte can talk in full sentences.
  • Flyte uses his wings to extract due to him lacking arms.
  • Flyte shares the same ability sound as Rudie and Flutter.
  • As of version 0.8.1, Flyte is the tallest Toon in the game, with the second being Sprout, the third being Looey, and the fourth being Razzle & Dazzle.
  • Before the changes in the v0.8.4 Easter Patch there used to be a bug where Flyte's Gust ability will make any nearby Twisteds stop chasing him, along with preventing long-ranged Twisteds from using their abilities properly. This has since been patched so that the Twisteds will not be affected by Flyte's ability, as well as continuing to chase after nearby Toons. This was due to his ability acting like an obstacle where the Twisteds line of sight is completely prevented. This would mean that if the Twisted ever enters/passes through his ability, it would still be able to chase him normally.
  • Flyte has a model error in the form of a dent in the left side of his head. This is usually not visible ingame but can be seen in certain lighting.
  • Flyte shares the same requirements as Ginger, with 700 of the event's currency, and 50% Research on their own Twisted.
  • Flyte is the 2nd Holiday Toon whose Voting Icon is similar to his Information Card artwork, the 1st one being Coal.
  • Flyte is the 6th Toon in the game to be an actual living thing, rather than an object, being a butterfly. The first and second being Dandy and Shrimpo, the third and fourth being Flutter and Shelly, the fifth being Rudie.
  • Flyte shares similarities with Tisha.
    • They share almost the same stats, swapping Skill Check and Extraction.
    • They are predominantly blue.
    • Their Active Abilities have a 50 second cooldown and boost Movement Speed.
