Flutter The Butterfly, also known as Flutter is one of the 21 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on July 12th, 2024 alongside Shelly, Tisha and Teagan. She is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.
Appearance
Flutter is a butterfly with a pink, heart-shaped head and pink legs. She has two thin antennae topped with inverted, purple hearts. She has cyan eyeshadow and two eyelashes per eye. She wears a simple, light purple dress and has dark purple fluff in the same color as her antennae hearts going around her neck. Flutter has a pair of cyan wings with white heart details on the forewings and two small hindwings. She is armless and has no mouth.

Strategies
Flutter is an excellent Toon for moving around. Both her Speed and Ability give her great Movement, so you should make the most of that whenever possible. Flutter's most conventional Role on a team would be Distracting the Twisteds. Her Movement Speed and Stamina make it far easier for her than most others, though in turn, she can't Extract as well as most other Toons.
On its own, this would make her somewhat comparable to Goob, but where Flutter really shines is with her Active Ability. It can be used to get out of most tricky situations, to get around a corner to ensure a Twisted loses you, or at low Stamina to get to a place to regen. It can be compared to a much shorter Eject Button, which is a major advantage for a Toon who (if played as a Distractor) will be in chases often.
Please note that dashing does not grant you invincibility frames, so if you dash directly through a Twisted, there's a chance you will get hit and take damage. Sometimes it will not damage you and you will dash through normally, but it's very risky.
Flutter doesn't need any specific Items, but Healing, Speed Boosts and Stamina Regeneration would be the most useful.
As for Trinkets, Flutter can go either way with Mobility or Extraction Trinkets. Mobility Trinkets enhance her already-great Speed which helps her Run and Distract better, while Extraction Trinkets make up for her lower Extraction stats. Magnifying Glass is great for Extraction since it boosts by a set amount, not based on Extraction Speed, but it'll make Skill Checks hard to hit.

- Flutter has one UGC Item, that being Flutter's Antennae.
- Her name, Flutter, means to fly unsteadily by flapping one's wings lightly and unsteadily, which can be used to describe how butterflies move around.
- Flutter is mute; she has never talked in her Dialogues and has no mouth.
- Flutter's designation could be R-001 or R-003 since Glisten's, Goob's and Scraps' are R-002, R-004 and R-005, with the R standing most likely for Rare.
- Flutter is the only normal Toon to have 100% Research on their Twisted as a Requirement for buying her.
- In early Concept Art, Flutter used to have a Proboscis. It is unknown if Flutter was always meant to have a Speed Boost as her Ability, but Twisted Flutter's Proboscis was turned into a snare trap in her Concept Art. As Twisted Mechanics usually relate back to the original Toon in some way, this likely suggests that originally, Flutter's Ability would've pulled Toons to her, an Ability that Goob has in the Alpha Release.
- Flutter was originally going to be scrapped, but Qwelver liked her design so much that she brought her back.
- Flutter is the only Toon that doesn't walk, flying instead. Flutter was originally supposed to walk, though.
- Interestingly, Flutter is described as a butterfly, despite having fluff on her thorax, a trait exclusively seen on moths.
- It is possible, however, that Flutter is wearing a fur boa, rather than it being natural fluff.
- Flutter seems to be friend with Gigi.
