Fancy Purse is one of the 55 usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World and is one of the 40 Twisted Trinkets. It is obtained by achieving 100% Research on Twisted Teagan.

Appearance

The icon appears as a golden-yellow purse with 2 sparkles on the left and 3 sparkles on the right. Its handles are connected by fancy, gold clasps that appear to be made of metal. The handles' length suggests it is to be held rather than worn.

Strategies

Fancy Purse can help a bit with Toons that use Tapes for their Abilities, specifically Teagan and Sprout, by letting them use their Ability immediately after entering a run without having to collect extra tapes. However, the flat amount of Tapes is only enough for one use of their Abilities. Additionally, Sprout's active ability will get more expensive the more people playing Sprout are in the run, and you will have to collect more tapes to satisfy the cost. Because of these caveats, this strategy is best used in short runs, where you aren't as likely to stack up a large amount of Tapes. The fact that this trinket is only useable once, is completely useless and a waste of Trinket slot.

Another use for this Trinket would be for buying early Bandages or Health Kits. This helps any Toon in general, especially Cosmo and Ginger, as it would allow each of them to extend their Abilities to 4 heals very early in the run. Unfortunately, this strategy heavily relies on a valuable item appearing in Dandy's Shop in early floors, which is unlikely to happen, and only gaining 1-2 extra heals isn't often worth the Trinket slot. This strategy is also best used in short runs, as you are more likely to gain many of these items in higher floors, which makes gaining them early less valuable.

Overall, due to the Trinket only activating once at the start of the run and never again, and the fact that Tapes are very easy to accumulate (you can get over 150 Tapes by Floor 2 in a solo run without any Trinkets), but it is outclassed by Dandy Plush. Meaning Fancy Purse is not recommended to use aside from doing specific Mastery Quests.

Trivia

• This is the second Trinket to give Tapes, the first being Coin Purse.
• This Trinket is currently a purely-improved version of Coin Purse, though it is harder to earn.
• This Trinket used to lower your Extraction Speed by 3% (along with giving you 100 Tapes) but was later changed in the 8/14/2024 update.
• There is a popular misconception that buying from Dandy's Elevator Store increases the chance of Main Character Twisteds spawning, and thus people equip Fancy Purse to help against the cost of doing so. Please note that buying does NOT increase the chance of a Main Character Twisted spawning, and there is currently no way to increase said chances. Buying from Dandy's Elevator Store will only prevent Twisted Dandy from spawning and make his chances at zero, which is why some people falsely think it increases Main Character spawn chances.
