The Dyle Map is the first Challenge Floor, and to enter it, the player(s) must choose the TIME'S UP Card during a Card vote, which is only available on odd Floors. The player(s) must be on Floor 9+ for a chance to get the Card. It also has only one variant. When on this map, the player(s) must complete a total of 25 machines, regardless of what Floor they're in. The Floor will also spawn 3+ Common Twisteds, with Floor Events also being able to happen, along with Twisted Dyle. The reward when completing this Floor is +50 Stamina capacity for the rest of the run.

Description

The only way to access this map is to choose the TIME'S UP card, with the map spawning immediately on the next Floor. When you spawn in, you will see the map.

The map looks to be a large, labyrinth like room with grey everywhere, with only a dash of color (similar to the Warehouse). There are wire mesh windows that only let you see the void with the occasional train moving through. The walls have lots of Ichor-covered posters about the Main Character Toons.

Strategies

As Dyle's Floor is unavoidable for very long runs, it's considered more beneficial to choose it early for runs with a Floor goal of 40+ as you'll have more teammates, a lower Blackout chance, less Twisteds, and will gain the stamina buff earlier. However, it might be good to put it off for a bit if you're in a rough spot (AFK/inexperienced teammates; low on Health, speed Items, or Tapes). If you do not expect to make it that far, this isn't a factor, as you will not be forced to take the TIME'S UP card.

This Floor challenges your speed, stealth and attention with its main threat roaming this Floor is Twisted Dyle, who speeds up when he is chasing or heading to a failed skill check, so listen closely for his audio cues and watch for his rage bar to detect him easier. You need to get rid of/not have any unneeded attention from Twisteds, especially from Twisted Dyle, to be able to progress faster.

Although the remaining Twisteds are Common, it's a good idea to keep a watch out for Twisted Brusha or Twisted Yatta, as they can still drain your stamina if you aren't prepared, especially if you are playing a Toon with lower mobility or stamina. Be sure to keep an eye out for other Commons as well, as even though most of them aren't threatening, they can easily rat your location out to Dyle.

When wandering, be careful to not run into Twisted Dyle due to his large size. Instead, as said above, listen for his audio cues and examine walls to see if you can detect him via his rage meter. Because of his immense speed, it is optimal to lose his sight as soon as possible when he is chasing.

Skill Checks, especially the Circle ones, are much more costly to fail due to Dyle's extreme hearing range. If you are playing a low Skill Check Toon, try to let a teammate with a higher Skill Check stat do Circle Machines if you aren't experienced with them, or, if you had planned to do this, equip a Trinket designed for this, with Mime Makeup being the best option here. Remember: one wrong move could put you or your team in danger if they aren't alert.

It's recommended to have Speed Items like Speed Candies or Box o' Chocolates to be able to escape Twisted Dyle when he sees you, because being fast enough to reach an island and lose him (due to his short attention span) saves your Stamina and other Toons from dealing with a higher metered Twisted Dyle. Yatta is the best Toon for this, being to spawn the above Items including Extraction-based Items, with the added Movement Speed being able to out-walk most Twisteds, although a Trinket like Dog Plush needs to be used. The Items can also be redistributed to your teammates, making their survival chances and extraction better. Since there are 25 machines on Dyle's Floor, you can prime many of them to allow your team's Yatta to attempt to produce Box o' Chocolates when they reach those machines.

Speaking of, if a teammate fails Skill Checks near you or they accidentally lead him to you, your number one priority is to take advantage of his attention span and lose line of sight. This will divert him away from you. However, if not possible, gain as much distance or speed to be able to reach an island in time before he gains enough speed. It's recommended to immediately use a speed Item as delaying it will make escape a lot harder. When using Box o' Chocolates, you should use 2 out of the full 5 if his meter is not filled by any way, as it is plenty enough to hide for certain Toons (if line of sight is not sustained) and the Box o' Chocolates can still be used for another encounter. However, if his meter is 50% full, use three, and if full/75% of the way, it's better to use all. This will depend on how close escape routes are and if there are other Toons in your way, though. With Dyle, it's better to get to safety first.

In the occasion of an Ichor Leak, it is best to stay far from the Puddles. If possible, note their locations to avoid running on them when running away from Twisteds and use Trinkets like Vee's Remote for Machines near/blocked by a Puddle. However, if there is still a Machine blocked by a Puddle, try your best to not make the Illness III make you fail a Skill Check, as you will get slowed by the Puddle when escaping after you fail a Skill Check. Ribecca can be helpful in this situation, as she is immune to all debuffs. However, she may not be available to all players, as she is exclusive to the Halloween Event.

In the event of a Blackout, immediately try to take note of Twisted Dyle's location, maybe with things like Party Popper, Brightney's Ability or Vee's Active Ability. Always be cautious when extracting and always prime the nearest Machine towards the Elevator. Twisteds like Twisted Brusha are able to catch you off guard, so when being chased, always stay confined in one island/place, as detracting from there could make you lost or run into Twisted Dyle.

If a teammate is in dire straits, Blot is able to draw Dyle's attention away using his ability. Airhorns and Pebble's Speak! can also draw him away, but this isn't recommended unless he hasn't seen anyone yet. If you know where all teammates are, you can use one of these to lure Dyle across the map, but if you do not, you might just be handing Dyle a speed buff and a one-way ticket to your or someone else's location, so make sure you have an escape route planned and know which direction he'll approach from as well as any other Twisteds nearby. If you must use Speak!/an Airhorn close to Dyle while he is already in a chase, use speed items immediately before for better chances.

Due to a bug where choosing TIME'S UP in odd multiples of 5 lead to Halloween Toons of higher rarities spawning, it is recommended to skip TIME'S UP when it does appear, as Twisted Soulvester can really hinder Machine progress by guarding uncompleted Machines, forcing you to redirect and get chased by him, probably leading you to Twisted Dyle or waste time waiting for him to leave, Twisted Eclipse would immediately anger Twisted Dyle after spotting Toons, making it exponentially harder to complete the Floor, and Twisted Gourdy would force Toons to juggle extracting, hiding and finding him, and maybe making them run into Twisted Dyle, with the importance of Items there also being a severe problem. It also forces you to be wary of the 3 Twisteds, as running into them/finding them could always waste Stamina or waste time for map completion.

If this bug persists for the Christmas and the Easter Events, Twisted Ginger's high attention span could get you lost and maybe run into other Twisteds, Twisted Coal would be a large hassle in the unfortunate event of a Blackout, with her dark color palette making it harder to spot her, plus her gimmick making her faster in blackouts. Twisted Bobette's high speed and mechanic makes progression slow and surviving hard due to helpful Items being out of reach and needing to use a lot of Stamina to get rid of Bobette, Twisted Flyte would be annoying to get rid of, though not by much, Twisted Cocoa could waste your Stamina to lose her, and Twisted Bassie would make escapes and traversal hard due to her flowers slowing Toons.

Trivia

  • Once Panic Mode activates, a tall, thin blue garage door will open to reveal Dyle's room, which contains a window overlooking the tracks, a bed, a bedside table with a flip phone, and a radio transcript of Dyle talking to Arthur and Delilah. This only happens during Panic Mode, so either not much information is uncovered, or you die from the Panic timer. If you want to see it without dying, get in and take a few screenshots of the place, before using a speed Item to get back. You can also have Goob pull you.
    • The phone is likely how Dyle can contact whoever provides him with supplies for Gardenview.
    • Dyle's room is not accessible in Roleplay Mode, although another room with train controls is available and you can still use Shift + P to look in.
  • The Dyle Map is the only map that appears after another condition is met other than Floor number, that being the chosen Card.
  • The Dyle Map currently has the highest amount of machines in the game (25), surpassing the previous highest amount (20), though it is fixed.
  • The Dyle Map is the only map which doesn't allow Uncommon, Rare, Main Character or other Lethal (except Twisted Dyle) Twisteds to spawn; only Common Twisteds will spawn.
    • This is likely intentional, as if more dangerous Twisteds like Twisted Pebble or Twisted Vee could spawn, it would make the Floor extremely difficult for the players, especially with the large amount of Machines that need to be completed and Twisted Glisten spawning could make the Floor impossible since the players have to travel a large distance to even find him in any of the rooms.
    • In Events however, Holiday Twisteds of that Event will be able to spawn under the right circumstances.
  • The Dyle Map shares some similarities with the Holiday Floors.
    • It spawns when the Floor number is a specific kind, that being an odd number for the Dyle Map and a multiple of five for Holiday Floors.
    • Specific Twisteds spawn in them, with Common Twisteds and Twisted Dyle for his map, and at least 1 Event Twisted for Event maps, with their respective Holiday Main Character Twisted in multiples of 20.
  • When TIME'S UP is chosen on odd multiples of 5 (i.e. 15, 25, 35, etc.) during an Event, since a Holiday Floor will spawn every 5 Floors while Dyle's map has to spawn immediately, Dyle's Floor will take priority, but also guarantee a Holiday Twisted, with its rarity not limited to Commons, making the map harder or more dangerous due to Twisted Soulvester guarding machines, Twisted Eclipse's howling, and Twisted Gourdy's need for items to stay calm.
    • There is a chance Twisted Ribecca can spawn twice, one as the guaranteed Event Twisted and one as the possible Common Twisteds.
  • This Map looks similar to Warehouse.
    • The Map also might have taken inspiration from Yatta's teaser, with a lot of Ichor Posters appearing here.
  • Dyle's Map was Qwel's favorite map to create.
  • The Stamina increase completing Dyle's Floor gives is weirdly given during Panic Mode, while you're still in the Floor.
