Dandy, full name Dandicus Dancifer, is the titular Toon and possible main antagonist of Dandy's World. He acts as a shopkeeper for items purchasable in-between rounds, Toons, and is a developer-exclusive playable character. He is also playable in Roleplaying Mode as both a Toon, and a Twisted.
Appearance
Dandy is a flower-like fictional species. His most defining features are his petals. He has six that are individually red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple in a clockwise order with red being at the very top of his head. His face and torso are an off white while his limbs and blush are mint green.
Gameplay
Dandy is a shopkeeper NPC who helps the Toons by selling Items to them on to help them descend to the next floor. He always appears on even-numbered floors before the elevator opens and sells 3 random Items. Some Items can only be obtained through his shop while some can also appear on floors. However, if the Toons don't buy his items, he starts to get frustrated and will have a chance turn into his Twisted form after being ignored 3 times, being near guaranteed on the 4th time you ignore him. After his Twisted form appears, he will go back to normal.
Dandy can also be seen in the lobby. When interacted with, his shop opens. In his shop, he sells Toons, Trinkets and Skin Tickets for Ichor. There is also an option in his shop for Gamepasses, which will be available in a future update.

Trivia
- According to one of the loading screens, an interaction between Teagan and Pebble, and an in-game ad for Dandy's UGC item, Dandy's full name is Dandicus Dancifer.
- The aforementioned interaction between characters only reveals Dandy's full first name, however.
- The melting gumball in Dandy's Popsicle is most likely a reference to the SpongeBob Popsicles.
- Dandy exists as a developer character internally for testing, supposedly having infinite Health.
- Although, Dandy is confirmed to never be a public playable character in the future.
- Dandy was found to have real lines and gameplay as he was played by a possibly hacker or test account in this video.
- The older model of Dandy had his eyes pushed back in his head, making them hollow. This would mean he would directly stare at the player.
- Dandy was the first character to get an official UGC item.
- Dandy's designation is L-001 with the L standing most likely for Lethal.
- Dandy's hands will start to twitch as he grows frustrated with the player.
- Dandy and the other Main Characters are known to have been created in 1988, making Dandy, Astro, Sprout, Vee and Shelly at least 14 years old by the time that the Gardenview Center was closed in 2002.
- Dandy in the Lobby Shop will usually make positive remarks about the Toons brought from him. For five Toons, four of which are Main Characters, buying the Toon Licenses for Sprout, Vee, Astro, Shelly, and Shrimpo will either cause Dandy to decline to comment or make a sarcastic remark about the Toon bought.
- Dandy is often depicted and joked about as being short, as seen in doodles by Qwelver and the fact he stands/sits on boxes in his shop to be seen.
- Dandy, as mentioned by Qwelver, is not actually a dandelion, contrary to popular belief. The name Dandy is actually a reference to the word dandy, meaning "an excellent thing of it's kind."[1]
- In the back of Dandy's in-lobby shop, you can see 6 colors of spray paint, all corresponding with the colors of Dandy's petals, which means he might spray paint his petals.
