Crayon Set is one of the 55 usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World and is one of the 40 Twisted Trinkets. It's obtained by achieving 100% Research on Twisted Scraps.

Appearance

The icon appears as a yellow crayon box with a red and blue crayon inside with a pink crayon beside the box, each one with two black stripes around the top and bottom with an unreadable white label. On the box, orange squiggle lines are seen while in the middle has a white heart with the text "Crayon" underlined and written in black.

Strategies.

Crayon Set can produce the following Items: Speed Candies, Protein Bars, Instructions, Extraction Speed Candies, and Skill Check Candies.

Like the Fishing Rod, Crayon Set can only be useful for "use item" Mastery. Some examples could be Scraps' or Shrimpo's Mastery.

Since using items gives Tapes, this Trinket can be used to produce a small amount of extra tapes income every floor. Do note that this relies on at least one inventory slot being open. Additionally, the tape gain is very small, as Uncommon items do not give many tapes upon being used.

Since this Trinket could give you tapes upon the use of items, it's compatible with Sprout, Teagan and Blot for their abilities as it provides a consistent income of tapes given that the user has an available inventory slot each floor, though the amount of tapes is very small. may also benefit.

This Trinket could be paired well with Glazed Fondant Bag, due to it being able to give you three possible candy items each floor.

Due to 3/5 items in the pool being extraction-based, its usage on Extractors like Glisten, Vee or Yatta is more viable than on distractors even with the chance of getting Speed Candies or Protein Bars as they can help you seek Machines. Alternatively, Bassie can use this Trinket to distribute each item to those who'd benefit from them most; this helps minimize the downside of seeking space for unneeded items and allows others to use a different trinket while still benefiting from occasional items that enhance their playstyle. Her additional inventory space also helps her avoid missing out on this Trinket's effects due to a full inventory.

As Items are somewhat easy to come by and inventory space is limited, Crayon Set is not that useful. Dandy Runs can increase its viability by limiting both run length and item availability, but it still isn't as good as a more reliable Trinket buff.

Trivia

• When first released as a Trinket, the Crayon Set only gave one Item at the beginning of a run.
  • After the 7/12/24 update, it was changed to three Items.
    • As of the current update, the Crayon Set now gives one Uncommon Item before every Floor.
• The Crayon Set can only give the user Speed Candies, Protein Bars, Instructions, Skill Check Candies, and Extraction Speed Candies.
  • Stealth Candy used to be included in this item pool, but was removed in v0.7.1 as its rarity was downgraded to Common.
  • This Trinket is currently the most reliable way to get Instructions as any Toon without the use of Dandy's Shop.
• The Crayon Set is probably used to make Scraps' eyeliner, as implied in one of her dialogues.
