| “ | Cosmo is great in the kitchen! He loves baking sweet treats for all his friends! He is often seen with his best friend |
” |
| — Information Card
|
Cosmo the Pastry, also known as Cosmo, is one of the 38 playable Toons in Dandy's World. He was introduced on August 14th, 2024, alongside
Sprout,
Glisten, and
Finn. He is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.
Appearance
Cosmo is a brown pastry resembling a chocolate Swiss Roll. He has white icing drizzled in a squiggly pattern on the top of his head, which is paired with 6 cyan, pink, and lime star-shaped sprinkles on his cheeks, resembling freckles. He wears a white, sleeveless hoodie with black drawstrings and a white hemming on the bottom. He has striped socks the same color as his sprinkle freckles, the socks completely cover his legs. Cosmo has confirmed that his star sprinkles on his cheeks do not come off, being part of his design, said in a conversation with
Glisten.
In his information card art, he can be seen holding a baking tray full of pink, green, white, and teal-frosted cookies.
Personality
Cosmo is a helpful, yet cautious Toon. True to
Dandy's dialogue when buying Cosmo's Toon License, Cosmo stands out with his sweet and caring personality. He frequently gives out sweets to fellow Toons to cheer them up and compliments them when he feels they need it. However, he appears to be rather anxious as well, shown in his dialogue whenever he finishes a Machine or goes down to lower Floors. Cosmo's hobby of baking can be assumed to stem from both a source of comfort and a desire to help others.
He is clueless on some jokes and can be rather gullible to teasing, such as in his interactions with
Finn and
Gigi, but he always makes sure to care for his friends and encourage them when they most need it. It should be noted that though Cosmo can be rather soft-spoken and anxious, he is by no means a pushover, as demonstrated in his firm refusal to
Rodger's prods at asking questions regarding his best friend,
Sprout, and telling
Eggson he can't hide the eggs for him to find. Cosmo's sensitive side is mentioned in
Flutter and Sprout's interaction dialogue, as Sprout mentions Cosmo being in tears for a week when the gumball eyes melted on the cookies they made of Flutter's face. This is also why, in
Poppy's dialogue, he says, "Never again."

Mastery Strategies
For furthermore additional information, see Mastery
- For the first task, equip
Ghost Snakes In A Can and
Sweet Charm to shorten the cooldown. Also vote for
Rehearsal/Practice cards to further reduce it. To actually use this ability, either do it with another Cosmo (recommended)/
Ginger or a
Poppy/
Looey, as they all need Hearts to complete their Mastery. You can also bring a
Yatta to finish your fourth and sixth tasks by harvesting her candy. - For the second task, try joining a run (a full one, if possible) and playing. The extra people can help make floor progression faster.
- For the third task, equip
Dog Plush/
Pink Bow and
Clown Horn (better)/
Ribbon Spool and walk/run around the map. Invite some Toons to make this faster if you want. - For the fourth and sixth task, go around the map and collect all the Items on the Floor and repeat. You can also invite some Toons to make this faster. Prioritize
Gumballs and
Box o' Chocolates as they let you use more items. - For the fifth task, keep joining runs with the amount of people. If too many people die, either try to finish another task or join a new run. Distractors can help make this easier.
Do note that the strategies above are designed for the quickest completion. Masteries are completable in your own pace, no rush needed, and some ideas could be unsuitable for a normal run.
Strategies
Cosmo is a Supporter whose Active Ability,
Sharing is Caring, gives one of his
to another damaged Toon. As one of only four Toons capable of healing at the moment, his Ability is nice in situations where a teammate is low on Hearts or at risk. Be cautious though, giving out too many Hearts will quickly put you in danger and might even cause harm to teammates in an attempt to save you.
With a good set of Stats, the main issue for Cosmo is his 1
Skill Check. The small window makes them much more difficult, and the value given makes them not very rewarding when landing them. Even though Cosmo is the fastest at Extraction compared to
Bassie,
Blot, and
Shrimpo, all four of them still have 1 Star Skill Check, making it arduous to even get a good result on the Machine. This disadvantage can be managed by using skill check type Trinkets like
Mime Makeup or
Thinking Cap. On the other hand, Cosmo's above-average Stealth makes it much easier to heal Distractors, as outside of turning corners, distracted Twisteds will not switch targets. He's well-suited to runs with a lot of Main Character Toons present due to his ability to stretch
Health Kit twice as far for them. Cosmo is also good when
Sprout is present, able to keep Sprout alive for longer and "lend out" Hearts for Sprout to replenish later due to his faster cooldown.
When looking for Items, focus on Health Kits and
Bandages so you can make use of your Ability more often. Since Cosmo can redistribute Hearts on the fly, consider asking your teammates to alert you if they see any so you can bring the Hearts to Distractors or save them for later floors. Remember that the goal isn't to hoard them, Cosmo having the Heart supply rather than random Toons lets those in need of healing receive it. Allow those in need of healing to take items since Cosmo's higher Stamina and Stealth leave him in less danger. Since Health Kits and Bandages are quite rare, you can also look for more common but helpful items such as Skill Check Candies and Stopwatches to make his Skill Check more bearable. Extraction Speed Candies and Jawbreakers can also help, and the Jawbreaker could possibly boost Cosmo's Skill Check or Extraction Speed drastically. The extra
Tapes received from them can also be used to buy healing Items when it is being sold.
If Bassie is in your group, try to prioritize Health Kits and give them any Bandages. The more people capable of delivering healing, the faster ailing Toons receive aid. You can also rely on Bassie to hold onto most healing Items and to heal you once your Health is low, as she out-speeds you.
Trinket Combinations
Some Trinkets sets for Cosmo includes:
Support
Ghost Snakes In A Can/
Sweet Charm
Memory Locket
- This Trinket can help highlight all the healing Items on the Floor, making it easier to heal other teammates.
Dandy Plush
Extraction
- The following Trinkets help Cosmo extract by dealing with his main deficiency: 1
Skill Check.
Vee's Remote, to instantly complete Machines in dangerous locations, such as dead ends and open areas.
Blue Bandana, to avoid some Skill Checks and slightly improve Cosmo's extraction.
Mime Makeup, to more safely extract by removing the danger of missing Skill Checks.
Thinking Cap, to increase Skill Check Size, helping to fail less Skill Checks, though Mime Makeup can be more beneficial in some cases. (Works well with Paint Bucket)
Paint Bucket, to increase Skill Check size, though it also increases Skill Check chance. (Works well with Thinking Cap)
Mobility
Pink Bow/Options
- This Trinket enables Cosmo to outrun all Twisteds before Panic Mode as well as reaching teammates faster (26.9 Run Speed). Here are some options to pair Pink Bow with;
Speedy Shoes, to further improve Run Speed (28.2 Run Speed);
Vanity Mirror, to outrun every Twisted during Panic Mode (35 Run Speed);
Savory Charm, to be a tad bit safer if on 1
, due to Cosmo's frequent Heart loss, though it only works once;- Any of the Trinkets in the Extraction Section; etc.

|
Yeah, we sit together and read it when we get the chance to! | |
| Brusha |

Brusha, have you ever used a piping bag? |

Trivia
- Cosmo's name and design may be derived from the dessert food Cosmic Brownies, as he has colorful, star-shaped sprinkles sporting his cheeks similar to Cosmic Brownies. Also, the word "cosmo" is the noun form of the adjective, "cosmic". The term "cosmo" is also derived from the name for a celestial object—whether a planet, star or galaxy—a "cosmos".
- According to his dialogue with
Glisten, the sprinkles on his cheeks are not makeup. - The sprinkles on his body are also possibly a reference to the stars scattered across the cosmos, making his connection to them even stronger.
- Alternatively, it could be derived from the word 'cosmopolitan', which means "including or containing things from many different areas", which could reflect how you need ≥4 Toons to buy him or his generosity.
- According to his dialogue with
- Cosmo is a mix of a Swiss Roll and a Cosmic Brownie.
- Cosmo is
Sprout's best friend.
- Cosmo and Sprout have matching bracelets for Trinkets, those being
Sweet Charm and
Savory Charm trinkets. - Cosmo and Sprout also have matching Skins, both relating to caramel (Caramel Drizzle for Cosmo and Salted Caramel for Sprout), another set being related to each other (Berry Roll being for Cosmo, and Chocoberry being for Sprout), and another set with a Frankenstein reference (Dessertful Scientist for Cosmo and Berry Beast for Sprout).
- Cosmo and Sprout's corresponding Twisteds also have similar Ichor patterns; Cosmo only has Ichor on his right arm and eye, while Sprout has Ichor everywhere except his right arm and eye.
- Their Abilities heal a Toon by 1
. - They were optimized on the same Update.
- Cosmo and Sprout have matching bracelets for Trinkets, those being
- Cosmo and
Ginger are cousins, as confirmed by Qwelver, Cosmo and
Brusha's interaction (although it's only implied and Ginger's name is not directly mentioned), and Sprout and
Bobette's interaction.[1]
- Cosmo and Ginger are the third pair of Toons in the game to have a canon biological relationship, the first being
Scraps and
Goob, the second being
Razzle & Dazzle, the fourth being
Flutter and
Flyte, and the fifth being
Connie and
Soulvester.
- Cosmo and Ginger are the third pair of Toons in the game to have a canon biological relationship, the first being
- Cosmo is most likely left-handed, as he uses only his left hand to extract Ichor.
- Cosmo likes to stargaze sometimes, as stated in a QnA stream by Qwel.
- Cosmo might not be too good with the oven. This can be implied through his interaction with
Toodles as well as his and Sprout's TV animation, when the oven set on fire, which also could've led to his dream about fire mentioned in his interaction with Astro. - Cosmo's cookies that appear when he heals someone match his color and have sprinkles that match the color of his star-shaped sprinkles on his cheeks for each of his Skins.
- As said by Qwel during the 2025 New Years stream, Cosmo can't sleep sideways due to the shape of his head.
- It is possible that the reason at least one of Cosmo's hands are almost always holding onto his head is because it's too big for his body, thus possibly causing some issues. This has yet to be confirmed or denied in any way possible, however, as in a lot of artworks and TV animations he's seen just fine with his hands in a different position.
- This could be a result of cartoon logic not being exactly applicable to the real world, hence why he only seems to do this in his 3d model.
- Another possible explanation of this could be the animators not caring about this and wanting Cosmo to use both hands, especially as the constant drawing of holding his head is unneeded.
- Cosmo seems to be traumatized about having gumballs for eyes on cookies, as mentioned in an interaction between Sprout and Flutter, and Cosmo's interaction with
Poppy where he refuses to make cookies of her with gumballs for eyes.
- This may likely be a reference to Spongebob popsicles, specifically the ones with gumball eyes. The popsicles with gumball eyes are known to come out majorly deformed and melty, which is implied to have happened with the Flutter cookies' eyes melting and the cookies' new look causing Cosmo to cry "for a whole week."
- Cosmo,
Shrimpo,
Bassie, and
Blot are the only Toons with 1
Skill Check.
- Cosmo is the fastest extractor out of the four.
- Cosmo was the second to be released out of the four. The first being Shrimpo, the third being Bassie, and the fourth being Blot.
- Cosmo and Ginger's Abilities are nearly identical, with the only differences being Cosmo's shorter cooldown and range than Ginger.
- Cosmo is one of seven Toons to have one of their dialogues shown behind the scenes. The other six Toons being
Boxten, Connie, Flutter, Glisten, Shrimpo, and
Vee. - Cosmo is the first Toon to extract with one hand. The second being Vee and the third being Razzle & Dazzle.
- Cosmo had his optimized model last compared to the other 2.
- Cosmo and Sprout are the first Toons that were not released on the game's release to be optimized.
- Cosmo's head is somewhat polygonal. While this isn't very noticeable, if you look sideways, you'll notice his eyes somewhat clip on the edges.
- Cosmo is shorter than Toodles, though he appears taller sometimes when in idles. This is probably because the top of his head is straight, while Toodles' is round, so the height difference is hard to notice, especially when performing animations.
- Cosmo's Sweet Charm from his idle animation is stored in his body, only taken out when the idle is used.
- Sprout and his Savory Charm do the same.
- Although Cosmo is one of the main cooks of Gardenview, he specializes on sweets and desserts more, mainly baking cookies for the Toons, as seen in some interactions and his Ability, though other stuff like cakes have been made by him. Him being a cake roll/brownie and his "soft" personality compliments this too.
- Cosmo's Active Ability has a small detail where his hands touch his chest before he heals someone. This makes it look like he gives his Heart to another Toon.
