Connie the Ghost, also known as Connie, Boolynski (real name) or Miss. Boolynski by Rodger and Gourdy, is one of the 38 playable Toons in Dandy's World. She was introduced on December 6th, 2024, alongside Looey. She is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Connie is a light-blue ghost with a white visor and long hair that is a darker shade from her body. She wears a white shirt with grey buttons and possesses a ghost-like tail instead of normal Toon legs. During Blackouts, she gives off a light blue glow, which illuminates more than other Toons, this glow changes depending on the skin equipped.

Personality

Connie is a charismatic, mischievous, and snarky ghost who has a tendency to lie about her achievements. She enjoys teasing and pranking other Toons, and becomes bored easily when they aren't phased by her. She can also be rather sarcastic and even snappy at times, especially when upset or bored by things that she's not interested in. Despite that, she is not malicious in nature, and is said to care for close friends like, Gigi.

Due to Connie's ability to become invisible at will, she has a tendency to snoop on other Toons' conversations and entering their rooms, much to their annoyance. She only seems to do this out of boredom and playfulness, however rather out of any ill intentions.

In her interaction with Rodger, she seems annoyed and even despised by her previous name, Boolynski, and berates him for this.

Connie also seems to have a sibling rivalry with Soulvester, evidenced by how in one of their dialogues she says he is "larping as a knight," and how they wish they didn't see each other for a longer period of time. She seems to also think he's too serious, while he doesn't think she's serious enough. Despite this, they don't seem to actually dislike each other, even if they do have a sibling rivalry. However, it is unknown if they might have an affectionate side for each other.

• For the first task, equip Ghost Snakes In A Can and Sweet Charm to shorten the cooldown. Also vote for Rehearsal/Practice cards to further reduce it.
• For the second task, just play the game normally.
• For the third task, equip Pink Bow (better)/ Cooler and Clown Horn (better)/ Ribbon Spool and walk/run around the map. Invite some Toons to make this faster if you want.
• For the fourth task, use Vee's Remote or other Extracting Trinkets to extract fast. You can also ask someone to prime all the Machines and finish them yourself.
• For the fifth task, keep joining runs with the amount of people. If too many people die, either try to finish another task or join a new run.
• For the sixth task, go around the map and collect all the Items on the Floor and repeat. You can also invite some Toons to make this faster. Prioritize Gumballs and Box o' Chocolates as they let you use more items.

Do note that the strategies above are designed for the quickest completion. Masteries are completable in your own pace, no rush needed, and some ideas could be unsuitable for a normal run.

Strategies

Connie is a great Toon for having fun and extracting Machines. However, Connie's less than adequate Movement Speed can cause her to run out of Stamina quickly, as she will need to run to get to Machines faster, and her poor Movement Speed will also thwart her efficiency of escaping Twisteds.

Her Active Ability, Haunting Escape, can save her in several situations, though it's not recommended to use her Active Ability all the time if you're not in a dangerous situation, because at some point, you will depend on it to survive Twisteds. Because of her Active Ability, high Stealth, and low Movement Speed, she is more of a selfish Toon when it comes to playstyle, relying on teammates to save her.

Connie can be a decent candidate for watching Twisted Glisten. Her high Stealth prevents her from being spotted easily while she traverses with him, along with her Ability to assist her in Panic Mode when he enrages. Keep in mind that while using Haunting Escape, Glisten won't see Connie, thus his loneliness meter will still increase during this time period. It’s best to save her Ability for Panic Mode when Glisten enrages anyways, allowing a quick getaway.

Due to her extremely low Movement Speed, when playing as Connie you should be more cautious when fast Twisteds like Twisted Toodles or Twisted Shelly spawn, especially since they run exactly as fast as her (independent of speed boosts). Her high Stealth and Active Ability can't always be relied on, especially her Active Ability, since 50 seconds is a somewhat lengthy cooldown. To lower the risk of getting hurt from fast Twisteds (if her Stealth or Ability fails her), Speed Trinkets like, Pink Bow can help offset her low speed, however, their boost is small with some items having a 5-second effect. Speed items should also be prioritized, like Speed Candy or Box o' Chocolates.

It should be noted Connie cannot outrun Twisted Pebble, Twisted Coal during blackouts, enraged Twisted Gourdy, and even Twisted Cocoa without the right technique, even with Speed Trinkets equipped (though Connie can outrun Twisted Cocoa if Pink Bow is used). If you happen to encounter any of the above Twisteds, try to do Machines in safer spots and let your teammates with higher extraction speed do Machines in more open spaces. If Connie is spotted in a bad area with no islands and she has no items to help her get away if her Ability is on cooldown, she could potentially face death. However, if your Ability is on cooldown and you have the optimal Run Speed Trinkets, tightly hugging islands and make extremely sharp turns could slow the Twisteds down, but they could still catch up, so be careful. Try to make sure your ability is ready to go if you plan to traverse open areas. Her Stealth cannot be fully relied on either due to most of these Twisteds having high detection ranges.

Due to your slow speed, you might be tempted to sprint on Treadmill Machines to speed the extracting process up. However, you risk wasting Stamina for escaping Twisteds in case you get spotted. It is better to not sprint at all (or minimally) or hand the Machine to someone else.

Connie isn't a good Toon if you plan on getting past the Dyle Map; she has awful mobility, small Skill Check, and her Ability's value is far less potent due to it not working on Twisted Dyle. While she does have higher Extraction Speed and Stealth, Bobette may be a better option since she has higher Skill Check, Stamina, and Movement Speed, and able to hide from Lethal Twisteds with her Active Ability as well, granted you use it properly due to its bugs. You can also play another Toon with high Extraction/Skill Check like Shelly, Vee, or Yatta (note this isn't the whole list of good Extraction Toons), or if you still want high Stealth, choose a Toon like Astro or Cocoa.

Haunting Escape makes her a good candidate to complete Machines in dead ends. Caution should be taken around Twisted Dyle, Twisted Dandy, Twisted Goob, and Twisted Scraps due to Ability conflicts though.

Mobility

• Pink Bow/Options
  • This Trinket allows Connie to outrun more Twisteds before Panic Mode (21.5 Run Speed). Here are some options to pair Pink Bow with;
    • Speedy Shoes, to further increase Run Speed (22.6 Run Speed), making her be able to outrun all average speed Twisteds even on Panic Mode, albeit by a tiny amount;
    • Vanity Mirror, to be able to outrun a lot more Twisteds during Panic Mode (27.5 Run Speed).
    • Peppermint Icing, to give her a bit of extra Stamina to get to a safe spot away from Twisteds while invisible;
    • Soul Sword, to decrease a Twisted's chasing speed temporarily, and make her able to outrun Twisteds when being attacked by one;
    • Blushy Bat, acting as an replacement for Soul Sword;
    • The trinkets listed in the Extraction section, to help with floor progression; etc.

Extraction

• Magnifying Glass/Options
  • Vee's Remote - This set allows for quicker Floor progression, especially if teammates also carry Vee's Remote.
  • Participation Award - This set speeds up machine completion by maximizing Skill Check extraction. However, it leaves you with a near 1 Star Window Size and it's best used in the presence of a distractor.
  • Any trinkets listed in the Mobility section, to help with survival.

Ability

• Ghost Snakes In A Can/ Sweet Charm
  • This reduces Haunting Escape's cooldown (41.4s).
  • By choosing Practice/Rehearsal cards her cooldown will drop down to 31.4 seconds, which is decently low.

• Connie is the first Toon to publicly be known to have been delayed due to a major scandal at BlushCrunch Studio, thus forming a gap in the development team. She is also the first Toon to be remodeled for that same reason.
• Connie is the first and so far only Toon to not have legs; she has a ghost-like tail.
• Connie shares some similarities with Flutter.
  • They have one Event Toon sibling ( Soulvester and Flyte respectively).
  • They hover over the ground.
    • This also makes them immune to the Ichor Leaks Puddles.
• Connie is the only Toon to have a publicly known scrapped render.
• Similar to Dandy, Glisten and Goob, she was originally a personal OC of Qwel's, being based on Epic Mickey.
  • Connie was first seen back on January 30, 2024, when she was still an Epic Mickey OC.
  • This is likely the reason why her name is not alliterative and not a reference to the object she is inspired by, unlike most of the other Toons.
• Connie was one of four Toons that was going to release for the 2024 Halloween Event and is the only one that ended up being added to the game. The other Toons that were scrapped and won't be added were Harvey, Countess and Duke.
  • According to Dandy's gossip she was originally a Halloween Toon, but due to popularity she was brought into the regular series. This is likely a studio in-joke about that series of events. She could possibly be the first and currently only Holiday Toon to lose that title.
    • Eclipse was created to replace Connie after she came into the year-round show.
• Connie has a twin brother named Soulvester, making them the fifth set of Toons with a canonical biological relationship. The others being Flutter and Flyte (younger sister, older brother), Scraps and Goob (older sister, younger brother), Razzle & Dazzle (conjoined twin brothers) and Cosmo and Ginger (cousins).
• Connie, alongside Looey, were both released with a functioning blink and custom run animation early, as to show what's in store for the rest of the Toons while they're being updated over time. This makes them the first Non-Main Toons to have optimized animations, and the first in general.
• Connie is one of six Toons to have one of their dialogues shown behind the scenes, the other five being Boxten, Flutter, Glisten, Shrimpo, and Vee.
• Connie is the fourth non-Main Character Toon to have 5 on a Stat, the first being Scraps, followed by Glisten, then Gigi, Yatta, Blot and Soulvester.
• Connie's favorite color is blue, as stated in one of her interactions with Flutter.
• Due to a bug, Connie had a Stamina regeneration of 50%. This bug got fixed in the v0.5.2 update.
  • This is because they reused some of Astro's code to program her Stealth, blue glow in Blackouts, and overall similar Stats, but accidentally included his Passive Ability in Connie's code.
• Despite what her Ability description says, Twisted Scraps and Twisted Goob can still hit you while you're invisible as Connie with their long-ranged attacks.
• Connie seems to be good friends with Gigi.
• Connie shares the same Ability sound that's used for the Smoke Bomb. This is similar to how both Toodles' and Gigi's Ability sound effects are the same.
  • This is because both the Smoke Bomb and her Ability effectively do the same thing: help the user escape from Twisteds.
• Currently, Connie and Astro are the only playable Toons to have 5 Star Stealth.
• Connie seems to have an awkward relationship with Brightney, as seen in their dialogues.
  • This is further hinted in a dialogue with Vee, where she threatens to tell Brightney on her if she haunts her.
• Connie's name can be interpreted to be a pun, with "con" being a reference to her prankster-like nature.
• Connie and Scraps are so far the only Toon to retaliate Shrimpo's bullying angrily, with Connie questioning his bad response and Scraps hissing at him.
  • Sprout and Brightney do too, though their slightly weak responses, only saying "Don't." and "No!" only respectively, does make this iffy.
• Even though Connie is a ghost and is already 'dead', she can still get hurt and killed, mostly by Twisteds. It connects to the lore, but can't be elaborated on for gameplay reasons, so her being able to get hurt and killed isn't supposed to happen.
  • Her interaction with Shelly could support this, to where Shelly tries to confess to her that she's already dead, only to shut down the conversation to avoid a negative response from her.
• Rodger refers to Connie as "Miss Boolynski" in their interaction, and Connie berates him for this; Boolynski is Connie's real name. Based on their interaction, Connie is embarrassed by her name and prefers her nickname instead.
  • Connie's full name was Connie Boolynski back when she was an Epic Mickey OC. When she was converted into a Dandy's World character, Boolynski became her first name and Connie became a nickname, since only Main Toons have last names.
  • Gourdy and Eclipse has also called her that, albeit cutting themselves off before finishing, with Connie being quite forgiving. Connie does not snap at them for this, presumably because they did not do this intentionally, how often they get to see each other and them occasionally reffering to her as that before, as opposed to Rodger.
  • Dandy also makes a remark via the Gossip feature about Connie's real name being Boolynski.
• Connie was the first non-Main Character Toon that requires research on her Twisted counterpart that isn't a Rare Twisted, instead it's an Uncommon, the second, third, fourth and fifth being Ginger, Yatta, Flyte, and Brusha.
• Connie has the most Event Skins in the game, with three.
  • She is also the only base game Toon to have solely Event Skins.
• Connie is the first Toon to have a unique number of Stars in each Statistic, the second being Yatta and the third being Blot.
  • She is the only one to not be in the Circus Troupe.
• Connie can be seen invisible hiding behind Flutter if looked closely at the "SNEAKY GIGI" arcade machine screen.
  • It's likely due to Flutter talking to Brightney on screen, who Connie has an awkward relationship with, as said before.
• In the 1 Year Anniversary Stream, it was confirmed that Connie gets very happy when Halloween comes around, probably because she gets to see her Halloween Toon friends again.
• Connie and Astro are currently the only Toons to wear hats.
  • If Skins are included, Looey's Dapperly Festive Skin, Toodles' Junior Detective Skin, Goob's Fun Partygoer Skin and Blot's Showtime Skin all count.
  • Unlike Astro, Connie has a Skin without a hat, that being the Frosty Mittens Skin.
• Connie is the first Uncommon base game Toon to have an optimized model, the second being Razzle & Dazzle and the third being Toodles.
  • She is the only one to always be optimized.
• Connie is the only Toon with a human-like appearance; this is because of the fact that most ghosts in fiction are portrayed as human.

• As stated in Connie's interaction with Eclipse, Eclipse was made to replace Connie after she became a year-round Toon. Due to this, Connie may have also been a Rare Toon before becoming year-round. Though, rarities other than Main Character likely don't make a difference lore-wise.
  • If everything else was the same, Connie would've been the first Rare Toon who's Twisted was stationary. Currently, Blot takes the spot now.
