Cardboard 'Armor' is one of the 55 usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World and is one of the 14 that can be bought from Dandy's Store in the Lobby for 2750
Ichor, 100% Research on
Twisted Goob and 100% Research on
Twisted Scraps.
Appearance
Cardboard 'Armor' appears as a cardboard box cut and taped together to resemble body armor. It has a small arrow symbol on the cardboard "chest plate" pointing to the right, likely indicating which side was up when that segment used to be part of a box.
Strategies
Cardboard 'Armor' protects you once per floor from a ranged attack. It is used as a safeguard in case a Twisted with a ranged attack unexpectedly hits you. However, this Trinket is incredibly situational, as currently all Twisteds with long ranged attacks are in the Rare category.
Despite these setbacks, Cardboard 'Armor' still has its own perks. It is useful if a Ranged Twisted hits a slow Toon like
Shrimpo and
Connie, however is more useful for the latter due to her ability not working on ranged attacks. Due to this Trinket also working on
Twisted Gigi, it can help you not lose valuable Items, but this really isn't an issue, as mentioned before.
If you are proficient at avoiding the attacks of ranged Twisteds, this Trinket will not be of much use to you. Its value will be higher to you on days that ranged Twisteds occupy the Daily Twisted Board or if you struggle with Blackouts.
For an better alternative, you can instead play
Soulvester, as he is immune to all ranged attacks, though this comes at the cost of really bad mobility.
Trivia
- The Cardboard 'Armor' needs the most
Ichor for a Trinket. - The Cardboard 'Armor' is currently the only thing in Dandy's World to require 2 separate Twisteds' Research (
Twisted Goob and
Twisted Scraps). - The Cardboard 'Armor' is the only Trinket in Dandy's Store to require Research on a Twisted.
- This Trinket activates against
Twisted Gigi, Twisted Goob and Twisted Scraps.
Twisted Blot,
Twisted Razzle & Dazzle,
Twisted Rodger and
Twisted Sprout are the only Twisteds with potential ranged attacks that do not activate this Trinket.
- The quotation marks around the word armor in its name reflects the fact that it isn't real armor.
- This Trinket emits a bump sound when activated, but it is quiet and not very noticeable.
