Bone is one of the 55 usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World and is one of the 40 Twisted Trinkets. It is obtained by achieving 100% Research on
Twisted Pebble.
Appearance
The icon appears as a stereotypical white bone with a round, rainbow/Dandy schemed-striped bow tied around the centre.
Strategy
This Trinket is most convenient to Toons such as
Pebble,
Coal,
Cocoa,
Yatta,
Bassie and
Gigi, etc. whose abilities best support utilising the boost. Pebble and Coal's abilites better prepare them to activate Bone, enabling better detection of Items on the map. Cocoa's ability allows her to drop a BonBon onto the floor, similarly to Bassie, allowing her to activate Bone consistently. Yatta's passive that drops candy whenever hit or finishing a Machine helps bring items into her vicinity and to use the Bone trinket to its full potential especially due to her low Stamina. Due to Bassie's ability not having a cooldown, you can infinitely pick up and drop items to get the speed boost easily for Bone. Gigi's ability, when used, gives her an item of any tier, and for some reason this counts as picking up an item. This means that she will activate the speed boost every time she uses her ability, which is very useful as Gigi does not have much stamina and can turn her ability into a more reliable resource.
Bassie benefits best from this Trinket, as she can drop and pick up any item from her inventory at any time without cooldown. Combined with
Feather Duster, both can give an easy method of escaping most situations that would be usually considered hard to get out of and have really high mobility.
Additionally,
Sprout is also a decent Toon to equip this Trinket to. If choosing to item grind, the user will constantly be running around and collecting items for Tapes, making Bone's speed boost especially consistent and abundant. This is more for fun than best course, but it's worth it.
This Trinket is not a good choice if playing in a team with Sprout or
Teagan due to their item grinding unless the user plays as Gigi or Bassie.
Trivia
- This Trinket used to increase both Walk and Run Speed by 25% when a new Floor arrives for 10 seconds.
- This was changed in the 7/12/24 update, then changed back later.
- This mechanic is now used in the
Pull Toy Trinket.
- Prior to v0.11.4, Bone did not have a speed cap. This was changed due to an underlying issue of players using "macros" on
Bassie to reap its benefits without the skill or challenge. This put strain on the game's balancing, especially after the introduction of
Twisted Dyle, despite Bassie's high Stealth, so it was implemented to keep Twisted Dyle's role as a non-distractable Twisted.[1]
- This may be temporary, however, until other solutions can be found.
