Blot the Ink Blob, also known as Blot, is one of the 33 playable Toons in Dandy's World. He was introduced on May 23rd, 2025. He is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Blot is a grey ink blob. His head is teardrop shaped, with parts of it dripping down the right side of his head, the left side of his face, and around his neck. He wears mime makeup around his eye, and his cheeks are a darker shade of grey. He has no visible mouth. He wears a black and white striped shirt and white gloves. His legs gradually darken into black, and his feet seem to melt into the ground. When attacked, he has a forlorn face. He leaves a trail of ink when walking.

Personality

Despite what his looks might entail, Blot is actually quite a silly, witty and decently friendly Toon, as hinted at by his walking and running animations, along with his dialogues. He's only capable of speaking backwards, he often uses this quirk of his to quip with the other toons, whether it's to make fun of them without them knowing and making sarcastic remarks (even being seen talking in the third person when referring to toons he's actively interacting with), or to simply toy with their understanding of what he's actually saying, showing his silly side. Even so, he still shows a degree of concern and empathy towards toons that he thinks are not doing well, and tries his best to cheer them up, as seen in his interactions with Astro and Boxten. As he is a mime, he seems to love pantomiming.

Alongside his cheerful personality, he also seems to demonstrate a more mature and cynical side. He seems to thoroughly dislike extracting and runs in general, as shown in his "finishing extraction" lines, "descending to the next floor" lines, and some of his interactions. He appears to want to keep a close tab on his troupe, as hinted at by his interactions with Vee, Looey and Yatta. He seemingly has a bit of a love-hate relationship with Yatta in particular: sometimes he screams out demands at her when he's fed up with her carelessness, and other times he seems to find amusement in her antics.

Even though his troupe (mostly Yatta) seems to throw him around for a loop more often than not, he still seems to not want to replace his friends for the world, as proven in his interactions with Vee. Confirming that he deeply cares about his friends, despite their setbacks.

The same cannot be said for toons such as Glisten, Finn and Scraps. Their way of being and odd requests seem to tick him off to the point of tiring him out, showing his more cynical side.

Overall, Blot is a witty and sarcastic backwards-speaking Toon who occasionally finds enjoyment in making fun of others, he gets exhausted in regards to Toons who's antics he's not a fan of, but he's also mature enough to know when to drop the act when someone's not doing well, and to care for his close friends in the Circus Troupe.

Mastery Strategy

• To complete the first task , you should collect Tapes to use your ability. Avoid having 2 or more Blot’s, as the cost of your ability increases by 10 Tapes for each extra Blot. You can use either Fancy Purse or Coin Purse to complete it faster. Though 60 seconds might be a long cooldown, you can use Ghost Snakes In A Can or Sweet Charm to shorten the cooldown by 5 seconds. Using cooldown-decreasing cards can help decrease the timer further by up to ten seconds.
• To complete the second task, find as many Research Capsules as you can per floor, as there are 2 for each Twisted. Higher floors will provide more capsules, and there are more Twisteds.
• To complete the third task, completing floors as quickly as possible with a team will help with this.
• To complete the fourth task, join a run with both Looey and Yatta and make it to floor 11 with all alive. If it doesn’t go according to plan, do another run with both Looey and Yatta again until you complete the task.
• To complete the fifth task, use Dog Plush and Clown Horn / Ribbon Spool in a private run. Focus on not doing machines and just walking, occasionally you should sprint. It is still possible to do it in public servers, as you can just distract for them.
• To complete the sixth task, using Dandy Plush can help you buy and use items quicker. A really quick and alternative way is to have everyone as Yatta and have them die. Then you can pick up all of the candy they drop, and you can use them. Repeat this until you complete the task.

Strategies

Due to his poor Extraction stats (being the same as Bassie), Blot is best utilised as a Distractor due to his high mobility, having 4 Movement Speed and 5 Star Stamina. However, He can also be proficient in the Support and Survivalist category due to his unique active ability, Blot Jr., which can potentially even save you or your teammates from death if used correctly. In general, Blot can be a pretty good Distractor/Support/Survivalist, with his only main downsides being his 1 Star Skill Check and 2 Star Extraction Speed.

Blot’s main specialty is his ability. Blot Jr. is a decoy that diverts Twisted's attention on activation. This also takes aggro off of other Toons, even Shrimpo. This can basically be used as a “stun” tool, since when Blot Jr. is killed by a Twisted, that Twisted’s attack waiting time will apply as if it attacked a regular Toon, giving you time to run away. Do note that if a Main Character or Lethal Twisted kills Blot Jr., their attack sound plays. Be sure to tell your teammates that it was your decoy, and not an actual Toon, as this can temporarily cause panic. It should also be noted that, if you have multiple Twisteds chasing you and activate Blot Jr., they will all start going toward the decoy, but their attention will immediately divert back to you; only the Twisted who attacked Blot Jr. will be “stunned.” It’s recommended to get a decently large distance away, then activate Blot Jr. and go around a corner of an island nearby.

It is advised not to use Blot Jr. near where your distractor is distracting unless you are given express permission, as it can pull the Twisteds away from them, which could potentially endanger the team.

Blot Jr. can be used in a specific few ways, such as:

• “Stunning” a Twisted chasing you or someone else, giving you/them time to escape.
• At Panic Mode, to divert a Twisted’s attention away from Toons trying to get in the elevator.
• As a less effective Airhorn, as you can place Blot Jr. behind a Toon being chased to “stun” the Twisted, and then take aggro. Note this is less effective than using an actual Airhorn, especially with multiple Twisteds.
• Taking aggro of Twisteds away from a Toon, and then using Blot Jr. to run away. Don’t do this for a Distractor though, as this can mess up their loop.
• Rounding up the Twisteds, placing your decoy and giving them to your distractor so they don’t waste Stamina getting them.

Blot Jr. costs 10-80 Tapes depending on how many alive Blots there are in a round, so it’s not a good idea to have a significant amount of them in a game. This can also cause resource strain if Sprout is present, as the already large amount of Tapes he needs, combined with the fact each Blot ingame will need a larger amount of tapes for decoys, is likely to result in Tapes having to be spread out evenly, meaning both Sprout and each Blot ingame will get fewer Tapes. However, if there’s only 1-3 Blots present (cost being at 30 if 3 are present), then this shouldn’t be too much of an issue, since Blot Jr. will be decently cheap and be useable almost immediately.

Overall, Blot is a good pick for Distracting and Surviving (due to his Stats being very similar to Sprout’s, only lacking a Star in Skill Check and having an extra Heart), as well as Supporting.

Mobility

• Dog Plush/Options
  • This trinket unlocks the role of distractor to the holder (19.3 walk speed). Here are some options to pair Dog Plush with.
    • Speedy Shoes, to out-walk fast twisteds and gain the ability to loop and kite Twisted Pebble (20.2 walk speed);
    • Clown Horn or Ribbon Spool, to outrun during Panic Mode all twisteds but Pebble when active (21.2 walk/30.3 run speed);
    • Any of the trinkets in the Extraction Section, to help with floor progression.

Ability

• Ghost Snakes In A Can/Any
  • This trinket allows Blot to use his ability more often to protect teamates. It is better paired with Sweet Charm, to further reduce cooldown (50s).

Extraction

• The following Trinkets help Blot extract by dealing with his main deficiency: 1 Skill Check.
  • Vee's Remote, to instantly complete Machines in dangerous locations, such as dead ends and open areas;
  • Blue Bandana, to avoid some Skill Checks and slightly improve Blot's extraction.
  • Mime Makeup, to more safely extract by removing the danger of missing Skill Checks.

Trivia

• Blot has one UGC Item, that being Blot's Head.
• Blot is part of a Three Toon Circus Act known as the Circus Troupe with his role being that of a mime. The other two members are Looey (a clown) and Yatta (an acrobat).
  • Blot seems to be the calmest and the response member with helping Looey find his juggling pins, as seen in their interaction and Blot telling Vee that Yatta and Looey need him.
  • It's hinted that he might be the Circus Troupe's leader, according to his interactions with Looey, Yatta and Vee.
  • Blots two hands can that are scattered across the map deal damaga but its head does not.
• Blot was first officially mentioned in v0.7.1 during an interaction between Yatta and Glisten.
  • He's also briefly mentioned in an interaction between Looey and Teagan.
  • Blot's earliest hint was on December 7th, 2024, when Qwel reacted to someone asking about if the Circus Troupe includes a mime.
• Blot is Qwel's favourite Circus Troupe Toon design.
• Blot is the third Toon to get released by himself, the first and second being Gigi and Yatta.

  • Unlike Flutter, not all the Toons can understand Blot: the only ones that can are Looey, Yatta, Vee and Dazzle. the others have a harder time understanding him. He's still able to communicate with the other toons if he uses short and simple to understand words.
    • Vee uses a built-in translator, and Dazzle can only understand him somewhat, not to the same degree as Yatta or Looey. Razzle on the other hand, has no idea what he's saying. Cosmo and Sprout also understand him sometimes, but he usually uses short phrases for talking.

This was proved in a storyboard artwork found in the Art Studio map featuring Blot, Looey and Yatta, where Blot lifts his "hair" covering the left side of his face (right in our perspective), revealing no second eye. This is also mentioned in his interaction with Rodger.
  • This also means that he is the second Toon to only have an eye for their face, after Rodger.
• Blot is the fourth toon after Rodger, Flutter and Flyte to not have visible mouths.
• Blot is the third Toon to have an ability that loses LOS (Line of Sight) of twisteds, the first being Connie and the second being Bobette.
• Blot is the first (and so far the only) non-Event Rare Toon to have an optimised model.
• Blot is very different compared to the other Circus Troupe members.

    • This makes him have a similar appearance as Rodger because both only have one facial feature. (An eye)
    • Despite having no visible mouth, his second interaction with Cosmo hints that he's still capable of eating.
  • He doesn’t talk with any Holiday Toons.
    • However, this is because he was released after the most recent event (the 2025 Easter Event) had ended.
  • He is the only Toon to have their Twisted counterpart in a thumbnail.
  • He never had a yellow chat box. (Yatta used to have one and Looey has one)
  • He can’t extract as well as the other members.
    • However, he does share the high mobility the other Circus Troupe members have, having 4 Stars in Movement Speed like Yatta does, while Looey's speed increases dependent on his Heart count.
• If timed correctly, Blot Jr. can be placed in the elevator door, and when the door closes, it will still be there.
• Using Blushy Bat on Blot will only apply its effects onto Blot, and they will not affect Blot Jr.
• Blot is one of the first non-Main Toons to get a Gamepass Skin with the other Toons being Looey, Razzle & Dazzle and Yatta.

• He is one of the first Toons to have both his normal counterpart and Twisted counterpart in a Thumbnail, the second being Razzle & Dazzle.

• Blot has the highest permanent mobility compared to all of the non-Main Character Toons when ignoring Abilities, having 9 Stars in Movement Speed and Stamina. However, Toons like Looey or Flutter can go much faster or further than Blot with the help of their Abilities.
• Blot Jr. does not work on long-ranged attacks from Twisteds such as Twisted Goob. However, it will cause Twisted Sprout to summon a tendril at his location.
• Blot knows sign language according to a kid’s drawing about him, where it talks about Blot using sign language with him. This is reflective of real mimes who don’t really talk, and use other forms of communication instead of speech.
• His ink quality causes some trouble for him, like him leaving footprints around or staining things. Some even take advantage of this, as shown in Scraps’ interaction with him.
• Blot wears 3 layers of gloves as his ink seeps though them, as confirmed in one of Blot's interactions with Razzle & Dazzle.
• In a dialogue with Teagan, Blot explains how he feels annoyed with Finn and Scraps, but Teagan doesn't understand him correctly.
• Blot, along with Finn, Gigi and Yatta, are one of the only Toons to not have a full icon.

  • He also is not good at Extraction compared to them.
